    Hi, room for one more?

I am a veteran low carber, it's the only thing that works for me and the only way to keep my Crohn's disease reasonably under control, but I've been very lax recently and need to lose hmmmmmmmmm lots of weight.

I have set myself a challenge to eat good, tasty, low carb food all through June.

    Today:
B ham rolled up with cream cheese
L: salad with Ardennes pate and mayo
D: chicken in creme fraiche and tarragon sauce with broccoli

Sweet, i think he is pleased to see someone :rotfl::rotfl: me probably :D
I intend to be baking from scratch a bit more too.

I have searched tesco for tahini a while ago, but there's none there, maybe its just my store tho, it is an 'extra' but is rather small, will check out Aldi or H&B.

WW, i am under the impression you can eat what you want within reason, as long as its LC, snacks included, i may well be wrong tho.
Last time i did lc i ate whenever i was hungry, this time i dont seem to get very hungry, ( i lost more , and faster too, last time btw)
Peanuts are a not a nut but a legume, maybe thats why they are higher, i think macademias are quite lc, i tend to avoid nuts except for cooking as i find it hard to stop too.

Hello mercy, and welcome to rosy

Focus, can you give us the recipe for piri piri chicken, sounds lovely.

I am rather lively at the mo, because
    a) i had a few hours sleep earlier and
    b) a large-ish and very fast moving spider was hopping across my bed, while i
    was in it..

    :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

I have flicked him out of the window now tho :rotfl:

    Hello again everyone

Firstly thanks for the very warm welcome and I really did mean to post over the weekend but Saturday I was at a family party........and.as you all probly know .....the road to hell is paved with good intentions:rotfl:

I had way too much wine.... and the buffet was definitely not low carb friendly....Luckily they had scrumptious Thai salmon, so scoffed most of that and spent all day yesterday (Sunday) sitting in the garden with a book and trying to drink lots of water

aliasojo and marrowgirl......The pain of gallstones is unbelievable. I had 2 sections so never got to "appreciate" childbirth !!! I'm trying to be careful and I'm still getting occasional twinges, drinking wine on Saturday certainly didnt help !!!!!but read online that beetroot juice helps. So when I get a twinge I sip that. :rotfl:BTW not the Baxters pickled stuff:rotfl:

Skintscotslass, can understand how you feel about approaching 40. I separated from my ex husband on my 40th birthday and I was fairly slim then. Over the past 10 years....well mebbe the last 5 years I've gained 3 stone and as I'll be 50 in January......I want to go back to looking fab :D

zerodash zero, that recipe sounds fab, I usually dip crackers into hummous. but also have been known to eat off a spoon!!!!

Mazzers....thanx for the tip re the smileys, I never thought of doing that, I usually take ages to search for the ones that aren't dancing round right in front of me

I don;t usually post much during the week, Though in the coming months you might see me on the BB thread:D:o

its my sons lappy I'm using just now so usually have to wait till he's offline

Again, thanx for the welcome and speak soon xx

SSl, i started on Atkins but just keep carbs low now, in my mind i think i'm being extremely good, but i once read back to find something and was shocked how often i had strayed.
I mostly dont get very hungry, so go too long without eating and i think that stalls me, also, i try to drink 2 litres of water but rarely manage the whole 2 litres and have read somewhere that that can affect loss.

On average i have lost a lb a week, making it a stone this week, i would like to lose faster but only started doing it to control high BG so am happy to be losing at all.

I also find it quite difficult to drink as much water as I should. My sis gave me a wee bit of advice though. Evry time I pass the water cooler at work, fill 2 cups and if I forget,......

what I've been trying to do is 2 cups 1st thing in the morning, then 2 cups when I come back after my tea break and as I usually drink water at lunch then thats ok...........Though in the afternoon I cant quite get into the water thing and totally forget again until I get home and then I forget to drink water again.........I find it really hard to drink enough water in a day

    Good morning folks,
    Another fabulous day icon7.gif

Re the water, i buy a tesco value 2 litres in work ( and its only 13 p) with the intention of drinking the lot, and actually seem to be back and fo drinking ( and going to loo ) throughout the day but only ever seem to manage half, i drink quite a lot of sugar free low cal lemon squash tho, i know sweeteners are not good for you but it is very refreshing.

I need one of these filled with water. ;)

    Good morning all :hello:

Ahhhh, I could get used to all this sunshine :D

mazzers, that water hat contraption made me laugh!! Think we could all do with one of those, lol. Yesterday I only had a cup of black coffee & a diluted juice all day, not good :o Is the Tesco value stuff mineral or spring water?? I'd actually like to install one of those Brita filters in my kitchen, then I might drink more water

Sweet, i think he is pleased to see someone :rotfl::rotfl: me probably :D

    Lol, you naughty mazzers!! :rotfl:

Hope everyone has a good day today, I might get outside for a walk later but got washing to do just now

Its called table water, does that mean its tap water :rotfl: probably at that price, but is rather convenient for work.

I have ice and filtered water through my fridge but i still dont drink enough, it was a novelty at first but like most things once the novelty value wears off.....

The thing with water is not to glug it down in one go, but to take mouthfulls throughout the day... as if
Thats where the hat would come in handy tho ;)
