I would think that with two little ones to look after, a)that would be all the exercise you would need and b) you wouldn't have time to do anything else. I remember trying to exercise when I had two little ones but because I was breast feeding, it wasn't very successful (without going into too much detail!)
BTW, how long does a 100g bar of dark chocolate last with most peeps? Mine is about a week. Is that good, bad, or indifferent? (or does no-one else notice!)
As for the chocolate question, I can't keep any in the house or else it's devoured in seconds:eek:.
I'm finding it really hard to cut out coffee at the moment though. I can't take it without sweetener or milk (tried it with coconut oil and couldnt stand it) and am geting through about 3 cups a day.

I have always had a mid-morning cup of coffee made entirely with milk because otherwise I don't have much milk and I want to keep my calcium levels up.
What I'm having trouble with is drinking water (or anything for that matter). I keep on forgetting because I am never thirsty (unless I have been gardening or something). When 'is nibs is here he makes sure I drink something at lunchtime and puts out water at dinnertime, although he usually helps himself from the wine box. I had a cup of coffee yesterday and a glass of water with my dinner but I don't remember having anything else. I did fill up a 1/2 litre bottle the other day so I could measure how much I drank but I had a couple of sips out of it and then forgot. Will try again today.Vegetarian. As a type 2 diabetic I would like to low-carb but I also don't like meat/fish that much. Can anyone suggest a book/diet plan that I would find helpful?

I found some great videos (underground wellness) on youtube from a very knowledgeable guy named Sean, he criticizes low fat diets, and advocates the use of a wonderful ingredient called..
coconut oil.
He reckons that for every lb of bodyweight, we need to drink half that amount of water in fl oz, so a 200lb person needs 100oz, which i googled and its three litres.
They are such informative videos, and i am hooked.
This is one where Oprah gets a slating for encouraging KFC.

Mornin' all,
Hi Serena -I don't eat meat or fish. I've got Rose Elliott's low carb veggie book (the recipe one although she does a diet one too) which has lots of recipes. There are lots at the beginning of this thread too which i've found helpful. I fill up on TVP and eggs plus LOTS of veggies. I'm probably not as strict as the meaty (that sounds odd!) girls but i'm happy with a slow weight loss as long as I loose it eventually!"I am not a vegetarian because I love animals; I am a vegetarian because I hate plants." Me again!
OH has already lost weight -his trousers fell down yesterday much to my amusment! He's become a sugar free jelly-aholic.
I'm still having the occasional cup of Rosie Lee (tea) Gaye, coz firstly I think I would die without it and secondly I know that calcium is needed for bones density and weight loss too so don't want to cut it out altogether. I often forget to eat cheese/yoghurt and don't like cream (bleugh!) so its the only calcium I get.
Tummy is getting flatter -hurrah! went to the cinema last night and resisted the popcorn/chox by munching the occasional almond. it wasn't quite the same but stopped me from diving into the pic n mix.
HM quiche with low carb veggie sausages as a base, and extra veggies for lunch today. Yum."I am not a vegetarian because I love animals; I am a vegetarian because I hate plants." A. Whitney Brown0 -
