Tis lovely and sunny if a bit windy now.

The boys are watching films together, rather unusual

We all feel like a lazy day, so why not.

Not cooking a roast, so am off to make pesto chicken.
    They are ordering a pizza.

OK, I had a very bad day of food yesterday, just grabbing things (quite busy), so:
    - Microwave scrambled egg
    - Steamed courgette with veggie-bacon strips and shaved parmesan
    - 1 and 1/2 chocolate cupcake at 2am

    Today, back into the swing:
    - Fried egg, mushrooms, cherry tomatoes and veggie-bacon served in a pretty pyramid with black pepper
    - Ricotta pate with sauteed asparagus and spinach
    - Pasta with roasted red pepper, braised tofu and chick pea spicy sauce
    - Fresh plums fried in coconut oil with sliced ginger, cayenne pepper and honey served with vanilla icecream

I should only need something light later on, so maybe a pine nut, sultana and goat's cheese salad...

Have just 'attempted' to make a cheesecake this afternoon. Not sure how it will turn out as I didn't have a lot of double cream so have made a small version & just used less of everything :o Also couldn't be @rsed making the pastry case so it's just the top bit :o Have stirred some stewed raspberries & blueberries into it so should be interesting, just chilling it in the fridge now.

    My menu for today

    B - pork escalope & fried egg
    L - corned beef hash
D - beef casserole with cheesy leeks
    Pud - 'cheesecake'

Another loaf rising in the conservatory, the only warm room in the house, but...
Idiot son, who incidentally (is not bloody psychic) has gone outside and left the door wide open, with the wind howling onto my bread.
The one that i had been lovingly kneading..

Did you hear me screaming obscenities??.. did you.. did you??

Well i did, and now, no-one is speaking to each other except to argue..
    Happy days.

    Yep, we heard you!! :rotfl:

Your bread will be fine, don't worry, but if it is like a brick then you are allowed to hit idiot son over the head with it!! bricks.gif

    Hi emma

Good luck!! That's great that you are not being a slave to the scales!! Tis nice to see the scales going down but it's really nice to feel your clothes getting looser :D Wish I'd measured myself at the start.

I have just had the most amazing lc pizza.. mmm

Ladies, you have gotta get gluten flour.

flattened a piece of bread dough to make a thin 8" base, put to rise, then baked for 10 mins.

Mixed tomato puree with a bit of splenda to make it more ketchupy, spread onto base (a little goes a long way) added mozzarella, tomato, salami and some cheddar on top and baked for bout 8-10 mins.
OMG, was fab, like a real pizza base.

Dont know the carb count but obviously low.
Wouldve taken a pic but it was down my throat before i got the camera out.:rotfl:

My bread looking good, almost done, and risen more this time as one of the 'tips'
was if its not risen to check date of yeast, and sure enough, mine was almost up (July 09) so got some more.
Would've risen more but i took a chunk for the pizza.
Have made it in a loaf tin this time so my sarnies will look better

Ladies, i will say it again, you have gotta get some gluten flour..
And some dreamfields pasta at the same time. ;)
