Sweet – good luck with the pesto chicken! How many people are you cooking it for? I don’t think you could fit more than 2 of the flattened chicken breasts under the grill, so if you’re cooking for more than 2 maybe transfer the sheet of foil to a baking tray and keep warm in the oven while cooking the next batch? Just a thought! I worry too much! (But I just want you to enjoy it!)

Thanks zero, think it's going to be 3 for dinner tonight so I'll do what you suggest or give eldest daughter her's separately maybe?? Looking forward to trying it & sounds pretty easy to make as well, so that's even better!! :D

Discovered I had no tins of tuna for my lunch  so had 'corned beef hash' made with cauli/broc mash, corned beef & lots of black pepper seasoning. Looked awful but was yummy!! I'm going to make it as a main meal sometime as it was quite filling - would be nice with some fried leeks mixed through as well.

    Hello!

I've got stuffed peppers and cougettes in the oven :)

Got some massive courgettes from asda and cut 3 inch long slices, hollowed em out n stuffed em :D Stuffing for courgettes and peppers is chilli mince, chopped tomato, innards from courgettes, garlic and herbs, topped with feta. Some mushies roasting too.

Interestingly since 1st weighing on new scales on Weds (11st 11lb) this morning I am 11st 7lb. Feel a bit slimmer, but not much :rotfl: Long may this continue!

Hi suzy, hope you enjoy low carbing!

Hope you are all well n happy!

Mercy, your stuffed peppers & courgettes sound yummy!! I fancy making a chilli now.

I've just had my dinner & the chicken pesto#2 was lovely. Even hubby complimented it. Not sure if my frying pan liked being used as a chicken breast basher though :o What do other peeps use to flatten chicken breasts??

Also had my 3 remaining mini strawberry tarts with not quite so much whipped cream this time. Very nice. I especially like the stewed strawberries because it tastes just like the innards of a 'real' strawberry tart. :D

Heeeelp me. Have had such a rotten day.

First went to sleep in my contact lens, and woke up with conjunctivitus again - brilliant.
Went home and we worked out OH's pay is going to be at least 300 less per month, which is A LOT for us, ok we still have some expendable income but won't be ANY the way he throws it about, cue me crying and calling him a selfish git etc etc. He is going to Rockness in a month, and expects over £200 spending money, for THREE days, and he says I'm being unreasonable? The ticket alone cost £156! I handle all the finances because he is clueless, I say clueless what I mean is the most lazy person in the world, he truly is, he won't/can't do anything himself, he even expects me to call up and book him driving lessons? !!!!!!! Makes excuses for it all the time (I HAVE A BAD MEMORY) OHHH god I'm sorry, so THAT'S WHY YOU LEFT CLOTHES TO GO MOULDY IN THE WASHING MACHINE WHEN I WAS AT MY MUMS FOR THE WEEKEND?!!
Anyways, I had a nap, and I feel so ILL, have had dia-wah-wah, been vomiting (Though I've eaten NOTHING today) so it's just stomach acid, I have a sore head, hot, sicky etc. I'm thinking it seems like food poisoning? From my dads BBQ yesterday?

Boohoo.....Sorry for the rant, if I don't OH is likely to get a knife in the back :)

Aww, poor Button, hope you feel better soon. Does sound like it might be the BBQ. Drink plenty of water & see how you feel tomorrow (apart from the sore bum of course!!). You might need to get some re-hydrating sachets?? Or the stuff that stops the [STRIKE]diarrhoea[/STRIKE] squits.

Lost another long post and then couldnt get connected
Will be cancelling my contract if they dont get their act together.

Mercy, well done on the loss, i wonder if the keto cocktail has helped..

Sweet i really fancy that corned beef hash, bit too tired to cook tho.
All the strawberries sold out after work, really wanted to make a strawb tart icon9.gif

Did i mention i made baked custard yesterday, well i did and it was lush, have got some vanilla essence for the next batch, was nice and comforting when warm, but is nice cold too.

My bread still lovely and fresh today, had a fab chicken salad sandwich with lots of butter and mayo.
Will be a staple for me now as is much nicer than the plain flax seed bread.

Aww buttons, sorry your under the weather, your hubby sounds just like my friends hubby.
He's good to go to work but it ends there, does nothing else, is useless.
She made a quip the other day that he doesn't even know how much salt and vinegar he likes :rotfl: he waits for her to do it.
  • Have you managed to sort it out yourself?? Noticed you have a new avvy - is that a little 'un poking his head up at the bottom of your pic??

If you haven't sorted, go to Quick Links -> Edit options -> Click 'See Avatars' & save. Think that should work.

Thanks sweet, i can see it now. lol yep thats me, my eldest son and the top of my youngests head.:p

Buttons, i hope you get well soon.

After doing so well for the past month, i've fallen of the bandwagon a bit tonight and had chocolate and crisps:eek: (they were begging me to eat them!). Oh well. Back to the diet first thing in the morning. once in a month isnt too bad-my record!
    xx

Buttons -hope you are feeling better soon, try and get as much rest as you can. My OHs pay is less now too, even though he works harder and longer hours. It was already tight but now I worry about finances all the time. Sigh.

    Food for today.
bran (-had the opposite problem to Buttons) so thought i should have more fibre for a time.
    berries. Mmmm
a bit of cheese and gherkin (yup, i know, weird -but OH is german so he doesn't notice!)
Dinner: in the oven lovely stuffed peppers -with Cheery toms :D and low carb HM quiche. Even OH is sniffing around with interest.

went to see the Queen Spectacular (Bournemouth symphony orchestra and singers from We Will Rock You) with the free tix won from the comping pages so bit tired today. Was really fab. Trying to stop OH from watching Eurovision now, he takes it a bit too seriously!
