Must be something in the air then as OH came home from work in a foul mood yesterday saying that he wants to emigrate to Australia - Oh yes ok, simple then!
I've always wanted to live there, but I'm not skilled, he is, so that would work in our favour but the thing that bugs me is that someone in his work is away to move there on a 12month work visa and obviously he made it sound fab and OH gets an idea in his head and thats it - so all the times Ive ever said oh LETS JUST MOVE TO OZ, it's been met with a scoff but because a friend is doing it then we must. He's such a child and I will slap his face with a fruity smelling steak!
On another note I'm at my mums for the night with DD as we were SUPPOSED to be having a BBQ but it's now lashing off rain, my dad is still wanting to go out and cook all the food though - what a nutter!
I will try my utmost to avoid the baps and coleslaw, even though a packet of frazzles and a handful of giant choc buttons accidentally fell into my open mouth. Oopsies.0 -
Hey sweet, ive made a fish pie before with cauli mash and i sprinkled a little cheese on top and its yummy
if you like cheese that is.
Can you post recipe, pretty please??
I was going to loosely follow a Jamie Oliver recipe, it's got grated veg, fish chunks (with creme fraiche if wanted), mash, olive oil, seasonings etc., then cooked in the oven, no need to pre-cook fish apparently?? I was going to grate cheese on top as well.
Hubby has complicated matters now because he fancies the fish pie but not with cauli or cauli/broc mash - he doesn't eat green veg  so will have to make 2 separate dishes!! Pest!!0 -
Its bloody freezing round here..
Got the heating on now. brrrrr.
Have had a steak with some spinach, and made some egg custards.
Oooh they are blimmin lovely.
Googled a recipe and used my caramel davinci and lots of nutmeg on top.
Just got some Jersey cream from Filco, is soo thick and creamy and is a lovely yellowy colour.
Be fab with some strawberries.0 -

Hey, 3lbs is great.
If you are doing lc you will be burning ketones for fuel and they will show up in your urine.
You can check by testing with ketostix which you can buy online or in a chemist but dont tell them its for the Atkins diet or they may not sell them to you.. idiots
Tell them your mums diabetic
I got some but hardly ever bother testing.
If you are losing weight why worry.0 -
Hello Peeps!
I've just altered the recipe list to include baked egg custard as the custard tart one led nowhere. I know it used to be there :rotfl:
I've not tried it but it's one of shykins' recipes so should be fine.
Been good and happy today. I'm trying the keto cocktail twice a day with much less to eat in the evening. I'll let you know how I get onNot hungry so that's ok then :j
I'm thinking of doing a l/c manchester tart so if anyone makes the custard do let me know how you get on.
Off to do chores, will free up the weekend.

What fab news. OH's company gave them a BBQ today, a way of breaking the news that, if they don't get a contract they are after (they know in 10days) then it will be wage cuts and layoffs, and the wage cut would be you take a week off work every 4 weeks. We could not survive with 500pm less! Well we could but things would be VERY tight and we've lived like that before and it is depressing and not my idea of fun! I really hope it doesn't come to that
Stupid oil industry!0 -

Stupid oil industry!
Lets hope they get the contract then.
Everything is so depressing these days.
I know it's a cliche' but you've got each other.
Things seem so much worse when you face them on your own.
Chin up and..0
