Gaye.. i did have my pink elephant hug for you, but lost yet another post.
My friend and neighbour is with talk talk and is having the same problems.
As for pesto, i tried it years ago,
was the green one and found it very overpowering and have never been able to understand everyones enthusiasm for it,
but have bought the red one to give it another chance.
Onewing, no crying, you have lost, just ignore the scales, they are related to mine and lying runs in the family.;)
Seriously, the weight gain will be fluid and we must give it a few months to regulate.
I knew it, eaten too much bread..
had four slices in all,
but i spose thats only 24g and only had bacon and egg, fish a bit of cheese and some berries as jam,
so maybe not too bad.
Oh... and the wine0 -
My bread is rather dense this morning (reminded me of alias)
ha ha.. only kidding, you know i love you really
Was fine toasted with a bit of jam, must have a look at the diabetic jams
to see how many carbs they have.
Tis a miserable day and i will be stuck in on my todprobably.
Will see if i can coax anyone outi am already bored.
I dont work enough hours!!!0 -
Thanks for the hugs Mazzers. I'm feeling better today. Had a good night's sleep which helps. Woke up full of enthusiasm to get things done but I have to admit I've faded a bit since then. I so hate being ill. It's such a waste of time.
I really fancied some custard yesterday but I resisted (having several packets of instant on the shelf in the back kitchen). I think I was hankering back to the days when my Mum would make me custard or arrowroot sauce if I was poorly and tucked up on the sofa. However I looked up a traditional custard recipe in my old faithful Mrs Beetons this morning and I might just give it a go, replacing the sugar with Canderel of course.Vegetarian. Have cut out all high carb food. Not following any particular plan.Started 20/1/2009. Weight lost so far 29lbs. Target weight loss 38lb in total.0 -

Tee hee!! That did make me laugh!! :rotfl:
Morning all :hello:
Have decided that drinking alcohol doesn't suit me when I'm on low-carb - had 3 glasses of red last night& had a rotten night's sleep & have woken up with a headache
Will have another try tonight (it's the weekend!!), just to see if it was the wine!! :undecided
My menu for today
B - rasp/blue crumble & cream (mmmmmmmm, it was deelicious!!)
L - roast chicken from Mr. T with garlic mayo
D - pork escalope & fried egg
3 HM mini strawberry tarts with whipped cream
Tis a miserable day here too, very grey & forecast heavy rainHave to go out this morning so will pop back later

do you think i can make pesto chicken wings? because i prefer that to breasts
Don't see why not, either make a slit in the meat & put some pesto & cream cheese inside & then slice of moz on top or just smooth over the top, I'm sure it would work both ways.
Don't do zero's recipe though - don't think chicken wings would take kindly to being bashed flat somehow!! :rotfl:0 -
What a miserable day - tis pouring down here. My poor blackbird chicks are going to get a soaking
Feel in a 'can't be [STRIKE]@rsed[/STRIKE] bothered' mood today
Have just had some roast chicken dipped into mayo & minced garlic for my lunch - any lurking vampires will keep well away from me now - I stink!!
Bought some fish pie mix today (salmon, cod & smoked haddock) so will attempt a HM fish pie with cauli mash or broc/cauli mash topping - think it should work. Having it tomorrow so will let you know what it's like.
alias, you are allowed to bite mazzers, she's low-carb, unlike chip butties!! :rotfl:

I have just had the most delish lunch! I stuffed half a red pepper with a mix of goat's cheese, olives, cherry toms and pesto which I had with salad. I put an apple in the oven at the same time as the peppers and then made egg custard to go with it. Mmmmm!Vegetarian. Have cut out all high carb food. thanks for your support guys. This morning now that i'm not so tired (kids been keeping me up) and thinking rationally i realised that the weight gain could be my hormones (im on my second TOTM this month), and could be my IBS playing up a little and bloating me. I'm going to stick with the dietthough as my partner says my face and tummy are a lot thinner, and much to his dismay, my boobs are smaller!! (doesnt bother me, a month or so ago i was a 38G  and talking about breast reduction, i'm about an F at the mo)
Has anyione tried this acai berry and colon cleanse thing that has been advertised everywhere? I still want to stay low carb but was thinking about giving this a go alongside it.
Again thanks for your help and sorry if it's TMI!!
xxx:AI love my boys! William born 08/01/08 and andrew born 22/2/09.0 -
