    Gaye, your lunch sounds lovely!!

I've been put off buying goat's cheese here because it's so expensive compared to other cheese & you don't seem to get much for your money!!

I saw a recipe for low-carb custard yesterday, it sounded lovely. Made me think I could make a trifle with sugar-free jelly, custard & whipped cream. Mmmmmmmmmmm!!

I wish my tooth wasn't quite so sweet!!

What a miserable day - tis pouring down here. My poor blackbird chicks are going to get a soaking :(

Feel in a 'can't be [STRIKE]@rsed[/STRIKE] bothered' mood today

Have just had some roast chicken dipped into mayo & minced garlic for my lunch - any lurking vampires will keep well away from me now - I stink!! :o

Bought some fish pie mix today (salmon, cod & smoked haddock) so will attempt a HM fish pie with cauli mash or broc/cauli mash topping - think it should work. Having it tomorrow so will let you know what it's like.

alias, you are allowed to bite mazzers, she's low-carb, unlike chip butties!! :rotfl:

Hey sweet, ive made a fish pie before with cauli mash and i sprinkled a little cheese on top and its yummy :) if you like cheese that is.

thanks for your support guys. This morning now that i'm not so tired (kids been keeping me up) and thinking rationally i realised that the weight gain could be my hormones (im on my second TOTM this month), and could be my IBS playing up a little and bloating me. I'm going to stick with the dietthough as my partner says my face and tummy are a lot thinner, and much to his dismay, my boobs are smaller!! (doesnt bother me, a month or so ago i was a 38G  and talking about breast reduction, i'm about an F at the mo)
Has anyione tried this acai berry and colon cleanse thing that has been advertised everywhere? I still want to stay low carb but was thinking about giving this a go alongside it.

Again thanks for your help and sorry if it's TMI!!

The scales are definite liars, i went up 3lbs yesterday and down again today  but see if we use the scales we would have thought whats the point and cheated the diet and then we really would have put on the weight  glad you are feeling better hun and not sure what that diet is you are talking about but i think low carb is the best :D

Im in work today and didnt prepare lunch, grabbed a subway salad, its lovely!! :D

Feeling very bloated today. Also developed giant spots on my face -I haven't had spots since a teenager! No idea what is going on with me at the moment. Could be the Metformin though as only been on it a week, but doing low carb has definately reduced some of the symptoms.

Hello to Zero and Treen, welcome to the madness!

Alias -don't be a stranger, I enjoy your posts even when you aren't doing well LC. At least I know I'm not the only one. :o

  • Egg custard is made by lightly beating an egg with a dessert spoon of sugar (or sweetener). The recipe said to add 1/2 pint of warmed milk but I added less. If you don't have milk, would watered down cream work? I then put it in a jug in the steamer but that took ages so I finished it off (carefully) in the microwave. Then I added a few drops of vanilla essence. It needs stirring a lot because otherwise the egg starts to cook and separate out. It made a lovely change. I wonder if you could add cocoa powder to make a chocolate sauce?
Vegetarian. Have cut out all high carb food. Not following any particular plan.Started 20/1/2009. Weight lost so far 29lbs. Target weight loss 38lb in total.

    Aw, bless you. :)

I is an anti-social biatch at the moment and have nothing good to say about anything unless it involves ... chips/chip butties/scones/chocolate/ice cream/ new potatoes (Jersey Royals in particular )/crisps and copious amounts of alcohol. :D (White writing for those who dont want to wind themselves up. I am trying to be considerate you know.:rotfl:

I'm thinking I need to do drastic things to feel better cos there's little point in trying to diet if I'm not the happiest bunny on the block. So at the moment, I'm trying to persuade my OH that we should sell up and sod off somewhere else and rent. Needless to say he thinks that's a bit OTT. :rotfl:

Ok....'fess up...who wants me to move beside them? Form an orderly queue please. :rotfl:

you can come live near me! I am known as being crabby and outspoken (my husband calls it "fiesty" -bless him!) so it would be nice to have someone to challenge my crown!
