Hi All
I am new to this thread but have started eating less carbs in an attempt to lose weight. I did it about 9 years ago and lost 2st!
Do you mind if i ask a question please?
-I am suffering with really bad headaches. I know from previous experience that this is because of the lack of carbs, but how long does it last?0 -

Only usually a day or two.
Good luck:)The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0 -
Had some water and not so hungry now, have cooked off a couple of bits of bacon for an omelette though. The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0

Man I'm a happy low carber right now!
I love my latte in the morning from my nespresso machine, I use their aeroccino to froth the milk and really don't want to give it up.
I started using whole milk instead of semi but even whole milk is quite high for induction.
I'll happily drink instant with cream during the day but I really value my fresh coffee latte first thing!
Just mixed double cream and water to the consistency of milk and tried it in my aeroccino, it worked perfectly!!! I'm so happy, that's sad isn't it? Lol.The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0 -

G&B, I've used the El Paso stuff before & it was fine. The only reason I made my own was because I didn't have any of the ready made stuff.
GG crispbreads are either 2.7g or 2.9g carbs each (I can't remember). I love, love, love them buttered with cheese - it's the crunch I like. Get them from Holland & Barrett. I think they're aimed at Slimming World people & I seem to remember it actually has the SW logo on the packet. VERY high fibre & you need to drink plenty of water with them. I try to have 2 a day & will have another 2 if I'm peckish later. They are good for when you're out & about (ready buttered & cheesed up).
I can't do links on this laptop (just tried) but Mercy has a link for them on her recipe list on page one.
franby, well done on the 4lbs off :T Agree you have to eat what you grow. I'm worrying a bit about the cost of LCing. I do my main shop in Ald1 (take advantage of the £5 off a £40 shop every month) but I've definitely been spending more the last couple of weeks.
WantToBeSE, I had an awful headache for the first couple of daysHope it eases off for you soon. Good luck with LCing.
B - cheese omelette
L - 2 buttered GG crispbreads with cheese, Ham & lettuce roll-ups
D - chicken with cheese & leeks (M&S), green mash, garlic mushrooms or cheesy leeks
Lots of water

Thanks sweet, I'll have a look next time I'm in H&B, I'm doing fine right now but I can see me needing something crunchy soon!
Just had a bacon and cheese omelette, it was lovely. Is there a limit to how much bacon you can eat? Lol, I think bacon, cheese and hot sauce have been my staples this week. The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0 -
Stoopid MSE wouldn't let me quote in pink!!
G&B, where do you get the hot sauce from & what was it called again?? I'd like to try it.
Ps. Babybels are on offer in the Co-op 6 for £1 and they were 12 for £2 the last time I was in Tesco.0 -

I use the buffalo wing sauce, it's 2.7g carb per 100ml. I've used nearly a whole bottle this week:rotfl:
I just buy it in Tesco.
I've had it on omelettes, chicken, salads - pizza express house dressing mixed with this gives you a spicy & creamy amazing salad dressing!
I've been buying babybel from Tesco thanks, have 24 in my fridge right now, plus the biggest block of delicious extra mature cheddar from M&S, plus Gouda, smoked cheese, Red Leicester... Anyone seeing a pattern:rotfl:The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0
