Well done on the weight loss Sheila.
I had a really bad day yesterday, ate ice lollies, biscuits and crisp (which I haven't had since starting low carbing). Am back on the bandwagon this morning and have told myself I must do this if I want to look good on my holiday photos in September. Last week's weight loss of 3lbs has shown me it can be done.Weight loss 0/2st

I jumped on the lowcarb wagon last Tuesday after the GP finally confirmed I'm wheat-intolerant (not celiac). I've mainly been eating chicken, fish (lots of), salads (feel like I'm turning into a salad), steamed veg, plain nuts and berries, olive oil. Years ago I did Atkins but I don't have the time for analytical carbcounting like I did before, so it's more paleo than anything, I guess. Down 4lbs, 2.5" off my waist as the wheat bloat goes down. Feeling fab and sleeping better
No sugar spikes or slumps which is making a real difference.

I don't count anything either, I just eat as natural as possible whilst having a lifeLife is short, smile while you still have teeth0 -
Lost 6lb. My weight spirals up at an alarming rate so I am reallly glad to have lost some of it.
Does anyone know how you can put on up to 8lb in a week and then lose it like this? Even my GP is baffled as that amount of gain, even with water retention ( and I never have a problem with this as I pee all the time)
Have a good day
Obviously hope its not but have you been checked for diabetes?I like to give people as many choices as possible to do what I want them to. (Milton H Erickson I think)0 -
Thank you for asking but I have been tested and am not diabetic. I have been travelling a lot with grandchildren in tow and have not always been really good. Must get back to it properly as I need to shed a few pounds
It is strange but my GP has been testing me every 3 months as my thyroid function is borderline low. When I was last tested, having dropped off the wagon a bit, the result was a bit better. Makes you think :huh:0 -
I always find it really hard keeping on a low carb diet, even when it's such a great thing to do when it reduces fat and increases good cholesterol, the problem is in the regular foods I eat, the food I enjoy always have high carbs from bred to pasta!0

This thread is becoming very sparse. Is it because low carb is no longer popular, people are on holiday or just because nobody wants to post anymore?
How is everyone out there :hello:0 -

Hello!
I'm back on the Dukan as for various reasons I did fall off the wagon.
In the last 5 weeks I have lost 9lbs so it's going well.
As I'm not low carbing properly to low carb rules I haven't been posting.
Hope everyone is well n happy!

Well done Mercy and Tiglath :T It is so easy to put weight back on, or seems so in my case, and I really need to lose a bit more.
I lost 6 and a half stone originally but, over the last year, 2 stone has gone back
