Boiled egg breakfast, chicken salad dinner, oatcake and butter supper. :DI find the less I eat, the less I want to eat somehow. I'm trying to lose weight - lost half a stone in the first fortnight but this last week lost a total of 1lb lol not impressed at all!
Diets are hard if you're not keen on eggs, hate fish & cheese, and feel sick at the sight of anything green LOL

Hello there - I'm starting back on low carb after some months away. I'm hoping that it will be a fairly easy transition, but have the complication of not currently having a kitchen as we have building works going on.

Can you give me some advice on (easy if possible) low carb meals with only a microwave, toaster and kettle available?

    TIA

    Hi everyone,

Feel like I've abandoned this thread for far too long. Just been so busy with work and away a lot, but have been quietly carrying on with low carbing.

Weight seems to have stabilised now, which is fine as I'm doing this for health reasons not weight loss. However am very pleased to have lost 3 stone as a nice side effect :)

Went to the doctor's this week as I have been unwell, and as part of that they took my blood pressure. Very pleased, as I am normally around 140 to 145 over 90 - 94 ish.

And I was only 127/87 which I have NEVER been as low as. Clearly this is down to my diet and the positive effect it has had on my health as that is all that has changed. So I am really pleased to see the evidence of the the good it is doing me.

Hi to all the new people that have joined since I last posted. I need to have a good read through the last few pages to catch up.

    Hope everyone is doing well.

    Hi

I have been away quite a bit, for various reasons, and put on a load of weight :(

Thank you for asking pink princess.

I am really fed up as my 6 and a half stone loss is now only 4 and a half and it is getting harder to lose. How can anyone put on 8lb in a week? I have stuck to 40 - 50 carbs for the last 4 days and put on 1lb so something is wrong somewhere. I will look at how your IF goes Mercy but I didn't find it helped when I tried a few months ago

Enough moaning, how are we all doing? Nice to have some better weather :)

Hi, I know its obvious, but you can do scrambled eggs, or omelettes in the microwave.
Alot of my meals involve lots of salads and homemade coleslaw, neither of which need cooking!!
Feel for you not having a kitchen, eurgh!!

Also nuts, cottage cheese, avocados and pulses are great in salads. And if your budget stretches to it, you can buy cooked chicken, salmon and prawns in supermarkets, as well as quinoa salads which are also high in protein.

It can be done, but will obviously cost more for pre-cooked foods (not ready meals!!) than being able to prepare food yourself.

Would it be worth getting one of these

I have got one stashed away in case I need it and it gives a lot more options for making meals :)

    Welcome back :T

Try not to think of your weight that way. Just try to reduce your carbs again as a way of eating rather than a diet.

Remember you are still way better off health wise than you were :j

Just had chicken wings with cauliflower in spices, very nice :D
