I'm finding - have found for quite a while - that simply LCing isn't enough for me. So I'm starting Intermittant fasting.
Started today. Sticking to LC principles but doing the missing breakfast thing. Will give it 4 weeks and assess.
Was surprised today that I didn't really mind waiting for food until 1pm. I did feel a bit hungry about 11am but after a bit I didn't as I knew I had a good lunch comingAnd it was nice :rotfl:
Had more food about 6pm, felt and still feel fine.
Will do this again tomorrow. If I feel really hungry I can dip in - always better to be happy.
Quite like waiting for food. Am ready for it, rather than just eating cos it's time :rotfl:
My food is LC so hopefully, in a few weeks, will be a fat burner (cos there's no other alternative?)
Will keep you informed. :rotfl:

Hi mercy,
I'm with you on this, generally eating low carb and not starting eating until at least 1pm. I really don't feel hungry at all, unless I start eating, then my appetite kicks in.
I wonder why I ate breakfast for all these years???
Hope everyone is ok.xx0 -
Can I join in please. Started cutting carbs about 2 years ago - had great results and lost about 3 and a half stone by just cutting out bread and cereal, having omelette for breakfast and salad for lunch and pretty normal tea.
Six months ago started to lapse and started eating carp again, resulting in feeling hungry all the time again and about a stone back on.
So need to get back on the wagon. This is my second day of low carbing again and I am trying to cut them lower than last time. Will catch up on the thread later.0 -
Does not eating much at all slow weightloss? I can manage on one meal a day, and have to force myself to eat more. I've only lost 1lb this week0

Most definitely!
Many people are under the false impression that the less they eat the more weight/fat they will lose. I'm afraid this isn't true, in fact quite the reverse.
Also, many people opt for a low-fat diet which again will not help with fat loss.
Increase your intake of protein and (healthy) fat, along with a healthy amount of carbs. I know this is a low-carb thread but our bodies do need a certain amount of carbs to function. Whilst it's true that low-carb diets will initially help with weight loss, it's not sustainable long-term and people find they plateau or even start to experience a weight gain.
As a guideline, if your intake of calories (not that I like counting calories but I know many use it as a guideline) is as low as 1200-1400 which many "diets" advocate then this is way too low.“You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”0 -
Day off today and we have just started hethe day with some berries, chopped hazelnuts and a tbsp of flax with two tbls of soya yoghurt.
Off for a run soon, well run walk, run walk :rotfl:
Good luck with it Mercy x
Welcome Jess :j

Wow, that is very low indeed! What on earth have you been eating, or rather not eating lol
