Going to try out a few new recipes tomorrow so have just been food shopping.
Due to the pack sizes available, I've got more paneer cheese than I'll need, and also too much coconut milk.
Just wondering if anyone knows if you can freeze either of these? Coconut milk I'm imagining you probably can?
I know you can freeze general cheese, anyone know if it's the same for paneer? Really don't want to waste what will be left but the longest date available was 2nd April.0 -
We freeze paneer cheese. It's fine.0

Thanks. I've just finished my cooking for the week, so have now popped the spare in freezer.
Tried a few different dishes today, they all smelled delicious so can't wait to eat them. There was fragrant coconut broth, pumpkin curry, and paneer and herb fritters.
Am away on a course for 3 days/nights this week but staying with family, so have precooked meals to take.
Hope everyone is having a good Easter.0 -
holland and barrett and another flax seed site say the carbs per 100gm are 34:eek: but rose elliots book, and i think the atkins book say about 5 carbs per 100. where on earth is the correct information.
(regarding the stale taste in the bread - i was using 3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil, i swapped this for rapeseed oil and that seems to have done the trick! I did bake a flax seed cracker and a bran one just added water to both and cooked them and the bran tasted of - boring bran, and the flax seed one tasted lovely and toasted so i ruled them out)0 -
As it is quiet I thought I might post a little update.
Probably only of interest to Randm but I recently made Rose Elliots bread with ground almonds instead of bran (I had run out) and really liked it. It made a better pizza base than bran because the flavour was milder.
I have been eating too much sugar lately and my weight was beginning to go up again so to encourage myself back into good habits I have bought some ketostix and completely cut out the chocolate. It has only been a couple of days but so far so good I am cheating less. I hope I can keep it up...0 -
