How do I start a new thread?
Sorry I cant read pink or red (health probs.... it does my head in! (sensory overload! :embarasse sorry)Acts 17:11 :j0 -
Really struggling today as I had a flu jab yesterday and am suffering the mini flu effects big time today :-(
It's the first time I've really actually fancied things that I can't have, just to cheer myself up I think. Have sent my husband out for some strawberries as that was about the best treat type item I could think of that wasn't completely unsuitable.
Hoping for a great night's sleep tonight and feel better tomorrow.0 -

thanksfulW - paleo is actually a variation of a low carb diet as it is getting back to basic instead of refined foods, particularly carbs. You are welcome to chat here as we all have our own variation of low carb and it is good to have different ideas.

boots_babe - sorry you are not feeling too good. That is why I don't take up the flu jab as I remember feeling bad for a few days. Just keep up the fluids and do what you can. Don't eat too many carbs if you can help it as you will only feel worse
Trying to be good and I haven't any chocolate, which helps!!
breakfast - egg, bacon, half tomato
lunch - half avocado, nuts
snack - sugar free jelly, greek yogurt sprinkled with flax / seed mixture
dinner - smoked haddock, cauliflower + veg0 -

Hi, I followed the paleo style eating-although I think it advises against much dairy if I remember correctly-which I do eat-well, cream and butter mainly. Its a great way of eating.
What would you like to know?0 -
Hi Sheila-how are you feeling at the moment?0
-
Daska-are you still around??
I just wondered if you've had the results of your gluten eating session? Are you now eating'normally' again;)?0 -
Still feeling really fluey today, but am up and out of bed. At least I'm not fancying any comfort foods today. Last night had my strawberries with greek yoghurt - delicious! Can't believe I've never tried that combination before, usually have cream. The greek yoghurt was MUCH nicer!
Had a lie in so had a late breakfast, 2 veggie sausages, tomato and a poached egg. So probably not going to bother with lunch.
If I get hungry I will have the rest of the strawberries with greek yoghurt, then for tea think I'll have roasted red pepper, with feta, cherry tomatoes and pesto.
Weighed myself this morning and that cheered me up, as I've lost almost a stone, in just 3 weeksI wasn't actually doing this way of eating for weightloss, it was more for general health benefits, but losing weight is definitely a bonus.
What are the rest of you all doing for Christmas dinner, I need to plan out our meal this weekend if I can.0 -
marbett - still troubled by sciatica and lack of sleep but hanging in there, thanks for asking. How about you ?
boots_babe - hope things get better soon. Sounds like you are enjoying your food and nearly a stone, well done :T
Christmas dinner for me - turkey, gammon, pig in blanket, cauliflower, broccoli, mashed swede and maybe one roast potato - decide later
dessert - I usually am too full and have it mid afternoon but may have almond pancake, berries and cream or may succumb to a little Christmas pud with cream. Not sure yet. I may also make flourless chocolate cake with berries and cream as on page 1.
daska said that she would return but many people have absconded or left temporarily. My hope is that, in the New Year, many of the old crowd will return0
