Thanks for the replies, really appreciate them. I can honestly say this has felt like the longest day ever, and I've still got the evening to go.

I'm not hungry which is good, still got my tea to eat yet too.

Right now, the thought of being THIS bad for another few days is unmanageable, but I will see how I am after hopefully a good night's sleep.

I've avoided taking paracetamol or anything, as I somehow assumed it wouldn't help - is that right?

Just hope this is all worth it, I can't wait to get past this horrible bit and to start feeling better in myself.

It is worth it, it is just your body craving sugar and trying to get you to give in. Within days your body will move to fueling it's self from fats instead :)

Think of an alcoholic quitting drink, stay strong for just a couple of days then you will much better :j Keep posting to get support x

Today we have had brazil nuts for breakfast with berries
Lunch was a chicken mayo sarnie on the 1.9g bread
Dinner was a flax seed base pizza

Snack will be celery with almond butter.
Life is short, smile while you still have teeth :D

    Morning all.
    yesterdays meals :

    B-egg, haloumi, mushrooms
L-Salad with avocado, pine nuts, tomatoes, brie and parma ham
    D-Fritatta with cauliflower cheese.

I had a muller corner yog as a snack, but otherwise resisted the mince pies/ chocolate/etc.

    Hope everyone is ok.xx

Well, feeling somewhat better today :)

No headache so that's a massive improvement. Still feeling a bit light headed and struggling to think straight but I feel that I can cope with those.

As long as that awful headache stays away I think I can get through it now.

    Thanks for the support.
  • Hello all, not said much for a while although I have lurked a bit, boots-babe that headache is awful isn't it? I tend to get the same sort just before my period, but that's not quite as bad!! I have not lost any weight for ages, in fact I keep putting on a couple of pounds and then losing them again, I have had minor slip ups though so he ho! For those of you who buy the low carb bread from the low carb megastore how does it taste, and does it freeze well? Also I have some spelt flour which I bought to make rolls with before I started low carbing, I would like to use it up, what do you guys think?

I always freeze the bread the day it arrives, it tastes nice but it toasts really quick so watch you don't burn it :) It is nice as bread crumbs as well for coating meats in.

Marbett, I would love an invite for Dinner :T

    Breakfast was pepperami
Lunch was 2 sausages from the hot counter at the supermarket
Dinner was spicy chicken wings and romanescu curry

Snack will be berries in choco and berrie flavour flax with cream :j

Glad you are feeling better boots babe :A

Wouldn't it be fun for us all to meet up and each one of us to bring our favouritist low-carb dish to share. What a feast we'd have.

Funnily enough, I was looking for the almond pancake recipe on the 1st page - as I haven't made them for yonks - and come across loads of ideas I hadn't seen before, there are some really nice meals to be had just from that page alone. So I agree it would be a feast :D

Hope everyone is well. We had a bit of a scare with the floods, which was a bit stressful, but in a weird way a bit of a blessing, as we've got some changes to make, so now we know what can happen we can design for it.

I have never seen so much water in my life, it's different, frightening actually, seeing it on TV compared to on your doorstep - literally!! Thank god we have had a dry week.

Just spent ages reading through lots of old posts on this thread, thought it would be a great way to pick up some tips/recipes - it was, so thanks to all who posted :D

I was interested to see that there are 2 other vegetarians on here who are on LC, I somehow thought I would be the only one.

So hello to skypie and kafkathecat :j I'm using Rose Elliot's diet book and separate cook book. Have loved the recipes so far, and despite being someone who hates cooking from recipes, they have been so quick and easy to do.

I know that people have said you stop being hungry all the time on LC, but I'm on day 4 now and not only have I not felt hungry, but was feeling borderline physically sick at lunch when faced with food, had to force it down me (figured I had best do, in order to keep my protein up).

Hope this isn't quite as bad tomorrow or I'll struggle to be eating what I should be.

One thing I wanted to ask - I've seen that on the initial 20g period there is a faster weightloss, then it steadies up and slows down to a reasonable pace when you move into later phases.

However, I'm on day 4 and this morning found I had lost 8lbs (so in just 3 days). Which is great, but just worried it feels a bit excessive to lose so quickly?
