Sounds like you are well prepared durham_mim. Where do you get your food / recipes from?

pink princess - glad that you enjoyed the soup. It is worth making the effort and I must make soups more often :)

I get my recipes from all over the place. The Molly Cake one is from a craft forum I used to be active in, some are from Anti Candida diet books but I just like to collect recipes. Most times they remain unmade as I don't have the energy to do them but it is nice to have them just in case.

  • Here's a nice seasonal recipe.
100g fresh cranberries blended then mixed with approx 50g ground almonds and 50g desiccated coconut. Keep adding dry ingredients until firm enough to roll into small balls then eat! They are quite sour so anyone who uses sweetener could add some.

Sounds good but could you add 70% chocolate to them to add sweetness?

durham_mim - how are you feeling at the moment?

So few posting now, I wonder if they have been put off or just stopped low carbing? Maybe it will pick up in the New Year ;)

When I was given the recipe it was just cranberries and almonds. I added the coconut to make it sweeter and it is just right for me but some people find them a bit sour. I'm not sure about the chocolate, you could try it and report back! Hmmm I'm now thinking dipping them in melted chocolate might work and I still have some cranberries...

I'm doing ok now Sheila. I wasn't feeling too good at the beginning of the week, just struggling with energy levels and had a really 'heavy' head. I think its due to the extra work/stresses of preparing for Christmas. I know my Christmas plans above make it sound as if I'm organised but some of those recipes will only get done if I've enough time and not to shattered to make them. I was going to do a table top sale at the beginning of December but I've decided not to, somethings just have to go or I won't be fit enough for when my daughters come home.

I hope you don't mind but I have passed the recipe on on another low carb forum:T

Durhammim, I didn't know that you could get anti candida books, I have a few customers that that would really benefit. Thanks :T

Breakfast today was GG cracker with almond butter
Lunch was home made coleslaw with gammon
Dinner was grilled spam with eggy bread, made with 1.9g carb bread

Snack will be live yoghurt with raspberries.

The one I've got is by Erica White, if that helps.
