pinkprincess - smoked sausage curry sounds interesting
I had a bad day yesterday and ate too much 70% chocolate
Today I will have
breakfast - scrambled egg
lunch - half an avocado, cheese and salad
dinner - something with leftover chicken and veg
snacks - yogurt with flax / seed mixture 1 tbsp, almond pancake with berries and cream and try to stay away from the chocolate
Have a good Sunday everyone0 -
Sheila my OH is a choccy fan, he likes two squares of the 85% Lindt chocci melted over berries and cream and sprinkled with low carb sweetener.
Today we have had sausage and egg for breakfast.
Lunch was chicken and bacon in a lettuce leaf wrap.
Dinner was another curry as I have a cold, spicy chicken and cauli.
Snack will be celery with almond butter or a handful of brazils or pecans.Life is short, smile while you still have teeth0 -
Yes, but I have to admit that I had 6 squares of 70% chocolate
I made soup for lunch instead with chicken stock, onion, garlic, celery, spinach and some cheese - not bad
Tonight I had sausages, cauliflower, broccoli with yogurt, low sugar jelly and flax/ seeds
There is so much chocolate, mince pies, biscuits etc around due to my daughter, son in law and grandchildren living here that I admit to finding it quite hard. They had steak pie with veg for dinner with pudding and I did resist but it wasn't easy.

Well done for staying away from the pie. :T

Breakfast is a bacon sandwich made with 1.9g carb bread.

Sheila, thank you so much for listing your menu. It reminded me that sugar free jelly is allowed. I have been looking for something new to add to my menu as I'm getting a bit bored. I think I will make a 'milk' jelly but substitute some of the milk for lactofree cream.Weight loss 0/2st

Don't forget sugar-free jelly has sweetener in instead, and we all know what that stuff can do! I would advise not making it a regular feature.
Taking about desserts, did anyone try the chocolate cherry i.e. black forest gateau, cake? After I found a miniature creme de cassis in my local farm shop, I did the muffins as usual, soaked some frozen cherries in the cassis and added them into the mix. I think they are the best I've ever made, completely delicious. Just before serving, I warmed the remaining juice poured it over and added cream0 -

Had terrible day yesterday. Ate pastries, pies, & cakes after the funeral. Then there was so much left we all brought a little home and I had the same again for tea because I was too tired to make anything else. I thought it would be a real treat but after eating one or two items off my plate I realised I wasn't enjoying it at all and much prefered my low carb food. As always when I eat things containing lactose I ended up with a sore mouth but at least I haven't had the stomach cramps too. So glad to get back to normality today.Weight loss 0/2st
