Sorry to hear that Durham mim x
Thanks ab, I'll check that cheese offer out.
Shiela, we don't want to lose weight just maintain, we find if we don't eat enough that we actually weight gain
Breakfast today was a chocolate extend bar.
Lunch was chicken wings in a spicy coating.
Dinner is sausage sandwich made with 1.9g a slice bread.
Snack will be a handful of brazil nuts :j
What is everyone else eating?Life is short, smile while you still have teeth0 -

Hi PP, I hope you don't mind me asking but are you eating any veg??? It strikes me the above is all protein.0 -
Morning all, I am happy to announce my target weight of 9 st was reached yesterday!! It'll be interesting to see how easy it is to maintain now.
I have tried the spelt flour in toad-in-the-hole. It worked fine and no nasty side effects. Daska, have you tried spelt, are you still having to eat gluten???
So, for the odd occasion I fancy something with flour, it'll be with spelt. Waitr*** sells the wholemeal and white spelt versions if it helps anyone.(Not Low carb!!)
Have a good day-it's Friday, yippee.xx0 -

Well done Marbett. Give us the details thenHow much have you lost and how long did it take? (We will turn a blind eye to all the choccy bars!!) Did you just cut out the higher carb stuff, or did you stick to a certain amount i.e grams? Has your hubby lost weight as well?
And by the way, how is your daughter? Has the rib problem completely gone now?
I've overcomed the miniature kirsch availability problem, there are so many shops that have cherries in kirsch now that it seems silly buying to separate items, plus you get a nice jar
I know it's getting colder, but I hope we are all staying active?0 -
Thanks y'all!!
I weighed myself on the 6th March 2012 and was shocked to discover I was at 10st 6lbs. I've never been that much!!
So I guess its loss of 20lbs in 8 months.
I cut out all grains/rice/potato and sugar. Also high carb veg until the last 6 weeks or so.I also succumbed to the odd choc bar(or 2!!)
My dh,although reluctant at first(!) has lost a stone, as has my b-i-l. It just seems to suit us eating like this, it's not been a hardship at all.
My daughter is still pain-free in her ribs, and dances and leaps high with a freedom she's not felt in years. She eats bread now, and has carby food when with her friends, but is still taking the fish oil because it makes such a difference to her skin. She generally has a carb-free brekky and dinner, so is keeping it sensible.
My next goal is to take seriously some regular exercise-I find it so hard to get motivated to shift my backside into gear!!
I do think that 1 of the reasons I've found it straight forward to lose weight is that I'm not battling with health issues-it can be a whole different ball game if you are taking medication or suffering medically.
I'd like to stay part of this thread if you'll still have me, I do intend to eat low-carb,but eat all fruit and veg that I want(including potato every now and again). Wheat and sugar are the main things I want to avoid.
Much love to everyone on this thread, its great to be able to support each other and you've all been so nice to me when I've made my confessions!!::rotfl::rotfl:0 -

The sausage sandwich was with mushrooms and onion.
I eat a lot of berries, and also a lot of cabbage, onion, mushrooms and cauliflower.
Breakfast was salami and boiled egg
Lunch was a handful of brazil nuts with salad leaves
Dinner was spicy lamb burgers with cheese crisp, coleslaw and pork crackling
Snack later will be a couple of zero carb lemon bon bons or flax seed cookie
Well done Marrbett on reaching goal weight :T:jLife is short, smile while you still have teeth0 -
I have really enjoyed my food today.
Breakfast was celery smothered in almond butter
Lunch was kebab with salad
Dinner was smoked sausage curry served on egg fried cauli rice
Snack later will be berries with cream and a spoonful of ground flaxLife is short, smile while you still have teeth0
