Ooh Marbett.. sorry to hear about your friend.
Welcome to the new lady.
Sweaty Betty I found that a couple of weeks ago, I had some stuffing that had bread in it, and my tummy was bloated for the whole of the next day. Its amazing where carbs are hiding.
I've been so good for the last two weeks. Have had all manner of temptation thrown at me. Even made a banana cake as we had lots of nearly gone off bananas at the week-end and its the first time in my life i've ever made a cake and not tried some.
Today, i've had a pot of ready made egg mayo which was reduced to 38 pence.
I'm really hungry now, as thats all I had.. and can't wait for dinner. I've made a chicken casserole type dish, with chicken pieces cut into chunks, celery, parsley, mushrooms, salt and pepper, garlic, and one chilli. THEN, I added a whole tub of humous to it...then... some single cream! I've already tried some and its yum. There is a jacket potato in the microwave all ready for DH and he can have his with that.. I'll have mine with Mange tout.
Hope everybody is wrapped up warm.. its gone sooo cold..0 -
Evening all :hello:
Firstly - marrbett, so sorry to hear your news(((hugs)))
and hello to saving-mad  Great loss so far :j I eat the weirdest things for breakfast- prawns, cheese, smoked salmon, nuts to name but a few (one of the reasons I don't often post my recipes!)
sweaty betty - as jerry says, carbs hide everywhere and I can get bloated/churny if I've even had a bit of floury thickener in something. Hope you settle down soon. I had long stalls along the way too, but I'm at my target weight now. Just keep at it, and keep drinking plenty of water.
Alias - Keep hanging in there (((hugs)))
Jerry - well done on resisting the banana cake! :T0 -
If anyone needs a laugh, I've just whacked myself on the side of the head with a 10lb dumbbell
Doh!

Just a quick log on as today is the day! We are finally doing our escape to the country - which will be interesting as I've always been a townie - and it's a relief to be almost over.
The house has been a tip all week, I hate living in a mess, and we've both been drained, fingers crossed the money goes though ok, else we will be sleeping in the car all weekend!!
I won't have internet for a week, so keep up the good work everyone, I will see you soon.0 -
Thanks everyone for you good wishes.
Murphydog, what great news, hope all goes smoothly from now on with the completion. Remember that the most important things to keep with you are the kettle/teabags and also wipes!!! Everything else can be unpacked later!!!
Its Friday everyone-hurrah!!:j0 -
Hope it all goes well murphy. :beer:0

Gray Malkin - how is your head?
savingmad - have you tried any of the recipes yet?
hannoja - see you thanking so how is it going?
marbett, sistercas, sweatybetty ....... - hi
Jerry - have you found any more work?
I am still reasonably low carb but higher than I'd like. I have to motivate myself more to be really strong from Monday week in an endeavour to lose a bit more weight but not finding it too easy at the moment. I am off to visit my brother this week and he had recent brain surgery and is very down as his son killed himself last year. Then there is the funeral on Friday and looking after ex after his hip surgery so a bit busy myself. If you are around then please nag me next weekend as it has to be done
Have a good day everyone0 -
sheila hope you are ok it sounds like are going through a tough patch right now (((hugs)))

hope everyone is doing ok x0 -
Morning all.
Sheila, it sounds like its 'grit your teeth and get through it' time. Try and focus on achieving only the important things for you to do,forget the rest for the next week. (Your health and diet are one of those important things by the way!!!)
The sun is shining here today, it helps so much doesn't it.
I've had egg, haloumi and mushroom for breakfast, going to roast a chicken with vegetables later and make pizza for the young uns.
Happy Saturday Low carbers!!!
