  • some good losses.. which are really inspiring.

I had all my lunches low carb and whoopsied last week! Who says you cant do low carb packed lunches and cheaply!?

Mondays lunch is sorted.. egg may reduced to 27p.. with a home made salad. Tuesday will be humous.. I know its not exactly low carb, but I am now at the stage where I will be introducing some pulses and beans.

If this offends anybody, then just say so and I wont post any more. about it.

    Love to all.

good for you raven - amazing loss :T

mazzers - good to hear from you. You are really doing well so keep it up :j

At hospital all day yesterday due to ex having DVT and cellulitis following op. Canteen and shop had sandwiches, crisps, sweet bars, apples and bananas so got very hungry :D I ended up getting 2 x 20g portions of cheese and half pint milk at 7pm to keep me going as I couldn't even find any nuts. Why is it so difficult to find appropriate items to eat?

Back at hospital at 7.30 this morning for iv injection for him as he refused to be admitted. I will make sure that I have some food before I go ;)

Have a good day everyone and make the most of the weather as the forecast isn't so good this week.

  • Good morning. Thanks all for your inspiration on this thread, I'm a lurker and have almost posted a few times but get a bit nervy.

I've lost 1 st 11 lbs over the four months I've been going low carb. Slow but sure - this is the first time I've been able to sustain a diet and its the most weight I've ever lost.

I've been experimenting with baking and although my bis-cake recipe (not soft enough for a cake, not crisp enough for a biscuit) isn't working yet, I'll post it up as soon as I get an edible result.....

    Morning all,

Not too good today. Feeling down, weepy and stressed. Next door neighbour wants to repair a fence that borders onto the side of our garden. She wants to move it 4" in line with the rest of the fence. This means I have to remove plants which I have tried for years to get established and have only just succeeded. Really fed up with said neighbour and wish we could just move and get away but have to wait until DS finishes school in 3 years time. Last time fence was replaced we made the arrangements and we actually lost a tiny bit of land because the fencer couldn't put posts in correct position because of neighbour's sheds. We have had a previous disagreement over something else a couple of years ago and I just feel we will never have peace, there will always be something she will want changing.

Still managing to stick to diet even though its an effort at the moment.

Hugs for durham mim. You do sound down. This miserable weather doesn't help either does it.

I'm struggling abit with a headache that I've had all weekend- it just is enough to pull me down. Probably due to getting abit overtired. Have been fairly ok food wise, the odd thing here or there!!

Have a gammon joint in the oven at the moment, will try and make as many meals out of it as possible, and use the liquid for soup. We've kind of run out of money this month and its only the 8th!!! I need to try and stretch the child benefit money.
Hope everyone is ok, murphy, how's the packing going?

To be honest we couldn't wait, and have been slowly packing for a couple of weeks. All the pictures are off the walls now, bubble wrap and brown paper everywhere - the cat loves it :rotfl: - but I hate living in a mess, and now all the will we, won't we, tension has gone, we feel drained. Really bleuhhhhhh!

Been stocking up with eggs, sausages, nuts and chocolate for the end of the week move.
