    :bdaycake: HAPPY BIRTHDAY SHEILA!

I'm having a baking day today, making rhubarb pie, crumble and chocolate crispies. Each year I make a hamper of homebaked stuff for my Father in law and his brother. I start preparing early to spread the work load and to make it much more manageable for me. Needless to say I will Not be eating any of these, but I do enjoy baking.

 LCers...glad to see that the good fight (of LCing to regain health/lose fat!) is continuing!!! I'm still doing zero-carbs of all seafood and seaweeds, as per Jack Kruse, and am really liking it!

Just in de-lurk mode to wish you Sheila, a really WONDERFUL BIRTHDAY :happyhear, with many more to come _party_

If something naughty ends up on your tongue today....so what!!! Birthdays only happen once a year, so I hope you really enjoy yours!:)

I'm intrigued by this- can you give us a rough idea what your menu looks like please?

Fellow LCrs-there is something seriously wrong with my taste buds these days, choccie biscuits taste too sweet and today's(sinful!)cheese and pickle toastie(I know, I know!!!) didn't taste as good as it used to. Somethings afoot......

Yes, I agree, nothing tastes the same as it did before. Even my favourite custard tarts no longer do it for me :(

Still no house news, small things cropping up still to scupper us. The buyers new solicitor (other went into receivership if you've not been reading) wasn't on their bank's panel, so they have had to apply, and the council are being 'efficient' on telling us whether the road at the bottom of our drive (on new house) is adopted or not. Can't exchange until we know for sure.

And, of course, Many Happy Returns to Sheila, :bdaycake::beer:(have I missed something? how did anyone know it was her birthday??)

Hi bossymoo - how are the kids doing? Nice to know how you are

Mercy - let us know how the recipe goes - sounds interesting

murphydog - I really hope that the moving sorts itself out soon.

Not too bad today but I will do better in a couple of weeks. It is my birthday tomorrow but I am not sure what I will be doing as my friends are sunning themselves in hotter climes. Maybe I will go for a walk as it isn't supposed to rain. I am going with my daughter to try to get some new trousers as I only have one pair that are not linen and fit. Nice when you have to get new clothes as the others are too big but I still have a big tummy roll to contend with :D

Look after yourselves all and Bon Nuit :)

    Especially for Murph!!xx

I had to read back a bit to find it too :o:o

    Happy Birthday Sheila :bdaycake:

Sorry it's a bit late, but I've only just got in from lunch (I was quite good though:p)

Marrbett - I know just what you mean too. I had a tiny spoonful of sister's mango sorbet today and it was so sweet it nearly blew my head off

Sorry to hear of the ongoing house woes Murphy :(
