    Sheila and alias

Sorry to hear of your losses.

Even if - whatever - when we lose someone we care about it hurts. I can only give you my most heartfelt love at this awful time.

My thoughts are with you and my love is as ever unwavering.

    Big love my ladies

You don't have any control over what life throws at you.
You DO have control over how you react :)
  • Morning all.

Well done to both sistercas and durham_mim for weight losses.. Yea!

    Sorry Sheila about your MIL.

Have been very busy this weekend, shopping, cleaning, etc. Starting the new long term job monday, so looking forward. Got wardrobe sorted.

Need to do a few things today, ie pay for car ins, etc.

Have got a brilliant week of packed lunches ready.. monday and tuesday, i'm having prawn cocktail and salad (prawn cocktail reduced to 40p each. Salad reduced too)

Wednesday, i'm having a tub of chopped ham and will do a salad to go with.

thursday i'm having a tub of chicken, ham and leek pie filling.

    friday ?? we shall see.

I'm also taking in a handful of blueberries (reduced to 10p!) each day.

    And an apple...

Hi to Nuttybabe, marbet alisojo and everybody else i've missed. x
  • Morning durham-mim, well done with the recent losses :T

Morning to everyone else too. What a beautiful morning it is too, after all the rain last week :j

I've been meaning to ask if anyone else has tried the Morrison's own make pate? (sorry, can't do accents on here)

When we shopped at Morrisons, we tried the pate, and it was lovely. I also rate their fresh veg and fruit section.

Duck and orange pate... mmmm... even though its morning, i'd love some of that !

Its a beautiful morning here as well... off out shopping in a minute.
  • Sorry to hear about your friend Jo x

How sad, its no age to die is it.

No, it's not. There were 3 of us who made a pact when we were 30 to all meet up when we were 50, and we were going to be wearing white jeans and going to a disco just so we could signify our growing old disgracefully. :D

My @ss in white jeans now, would not be a good look. If I had stuck to my previous low carbing, I'd have been thin by now and I actually think I might have worn the white jeans as a symbolic gesture. :D

She was addicted to drink, I was addicted to food. I really want to break my addiction now.

  • Lots of highs and lows over the last couple of days, well done for weight and inches losses sistercas and d.min.

Marrbett you've been :EasterBun again :naughty: person. Does it feel like you are part of a Chocalohics anonymous confessional?
'Hello my name is Marrbett and I've had 2 flakes today!' Big gasps and shaking of heads from fellow chocaholics ;)

JJJ you seem well enthused and on a high at the moment, have you thought about trying to give up those nasty fags again? Have you seen the 'Stoptober' ads on at the moment, with various help available to help you?

I'm about 2lbs more than normal and I can't shift it, nothing to do with flax this time, might have something to do with my husband being more at home than usual and having a glass of wine more often. Never mind off to do some pilates in a bit, then some packing - haven't exchanged yet, but the house is half packed already!!

Sheila and Jo my best wishes to you both. My husband is ex-forces and has had his share of friends die before their time. Not whilst serving, but after doing 20+ years and going into civilian life, the change is too much for some - more stressful believe it or not - and heart attacks are prevalent. Very sad.

    Happy sunday everyone :)
  • I am sorry to read of people's losses x :(

I don't get time to post much anymore but I just wanted to tell you what we had last night as it was lovely.

Lot's of left over chicken shredded, a handful of mushrooms and half an onion. Made up some chicken stock with a touch of water and a bit of cream.

Served it with cabbage but would go lovely with cauli as well :j

    That sounds lovely pink princess.

I don't think I ever told you, but you gave me the idea to start low carbing in the first place, so a BIG THANK YOU TO YOU:T:beer::A

You remember a low carb diet thread you started in the Arms last year? I didn't post on it, but read some of it and thought "hmmm, maybe I could try that" And the rest is history...

I'm now healthier, happier and a great deal smaller. So thanks again :D
