Morning everyone, lovely sunny day here. Will be going to check out Lidl bargains later today.

I'm happy to report another 1lb weight loss and 2" lost from various parts of body :D

Low carb is working for me, mainly in managing the ME/Chronic Lyme Disease, losing weight is an added benefit.

Just like to point out that exercise is not absolutely necessary for weight loss. My OH has been following Slimming World and has lost almost 2st. Slimming World relies totally on food intake and does not take exercise into account at all. I do not follow SW because I have a gluten intolerance and lactose intolerance. SW contains a lot of pasta which in gluten free form is not very nice, so low carb is much more suitable for me and was recommended by my consultant.

Well done!! Its great that eating this way seems to have knock on benefits other than weight loss.
The sun is shining here too. Have a great day.xx

it does seem to getting unpleasant on here , which is a real shame , i have been on this thread for a long time and its been invaluable , i hope we can continue to support one another .

i choose to ignore the stuff that i know not to be true , but seek out the tips and snippets that others have tried and tested , without those people i wouldnt be as far down the lower carb route as i am now . i have learnt alot from this thread, long may it continue.

    well done durham -mim

    Afternoon all

Just thought I would pop in and say hi, I am still here although it seems many are not! :(

I now have a new fav breakfast. Berries with double cream. Had it yesterday and I stayed full until after lunch which I was surprised at. Although I do keep forgetting to get them out of the freezer the night before! :o

    sistercas - thats brilliant. :T

    Durham_mim - well done :T

Snap! :D I had mine after sausages though :o

If you leave them frozen and mash them into the cream a bit, it makes like an ice-cream. Might not be everyone's cup of tea for breakfast though :rotfl:

    Ahhhh, thankyou. I'll have a try.xx
  • I'm still hanging on in here. I just ignore posts that dont help my lower carb choice of eatiing. I think some people actually take pleasure from purposely 'going against the grain' in threads that are of a particular topic, as in we watch our carbs (not cut them out altogether)

Well done all you losers :T

I have been to have my eyes tested this morning and picked out some lovely new glasses. While in town we popped into Tesco and I got a pack of peppered salmon marked down in price for lunch. Now I hhave a chicken in the oven for dinner and its big enough to make some chicken and veg soup too for next week.

I hope people haven't gone for good as you were so full of information for us all.

    Hi

Seems quiet here but hopefully others will return if the fighting stops.

Well done sistercas and durham_mim - brilliant :T

MIL died last night so a bit sad but she was lost in dementia so maybe for the best.

Trying hard but have slipped up a few times. :o

    Keep it up everyone!!
