........, do you do the cold water thing ?
Not the "getting into a REALLY cold bath" thing!!! :rotfl:
I have however tried face dunks and spot-icing, with the hope of starting to increase BAT, and the last two winters I haven't had the central heating on, 'cos I always believed that cold bugs/viruses wouldn't/couldn't thrive in the cold!! Plus the fact that these last two winters, I haven't had to cater for anyone else's problems with the cold, as I now spend most of my time on my own without visitors. If some-one is coming round, I always heat the place for them, but find it OK in the cold when by myself. I've already noticed that my cold tolerance has risen....still have my thin summer duvet on and I'm sitting around with just a thin jumper and trackie bottoms, going out with just a thin, waterproof jacket (in case , [when doesn't it?] it rains :rotfl:)and don't feel cold at all...so fingers crossed! But cold baths.....NOOOOOO!!!!!:rotfl:

Morning all, a yucky day down saff!
Am toying with the idea of trying a jog to the end of the road and back . I may never be able to post again!!
I made it all the way to the end of the road and half way back, am going to aim for there and back within a few days. Its not a very long road and and we live half way down it!!:omarrbett. Well it's a bit to long and detailed to copy and paste it all out here, so here's the link to what Jack calls his " Epi-Paleo RX (RX=perscription):
http://jackkruse.com/brain-gut-6-epi-paleo-rx/
This woe is a food plan that is based, as I said, on plenty of seafood and seaweeds....a diet he suggests that enabled homosapiens to developed brains far more evolved than other primate species, because we evolved out of the Rift Valley and left there following along coastal paths, where this food source was plentiful AND easy to obtain! It makes a lot of sense to me anyway. I never count anything any more...this, after a lifetime of counting one thing or another, i.e. calories, fat grams etc. etc. It easily enables me to retain my weight and BF%, and gives my body all the nutrients that are required.

I will have a good look over the weekend. Thanks for this. Not the "getting into a REALLY cold bath" thing!!! :rotfl:

I get what Jack Cruse is saying, but I can't help thinking of all the pollution in the seas and the filtration that goes through all these animals.

Great news. get packing!!!0 -
Thank you for all of your kind wishes. I went to the local Ember Inn for dinner and had almond crusted brie, beef pie with green beans (just the filling) and a flourless dark chocolate cake with berries and cream. Thought I was being fairly good but my guts are rumbling now so guess that I wasn't
Never mind, I will just have a cup of tea and should be ok in the morning.
It has been a lovely day here today and good to see the sun
pink princess - flax, seeds, nuts, avocados, dark chocolate all provide fibre and are helpful, depending on your carb allowance
Glad that a few more are joining in; please come back if you have stopped posting recently as we need each other and this board was always good for information and a laugh
Love to all xxx
Fingers crossed it will be on soon for a stock up :rotfl:
Today We have had berries for brekkie, pepperami with cream cheese for lunch and sausage and bacon cabbage casserole for dinner.
Nice to hear most of you are well, it is coming up to 12 months low carbing for us and we still love itLife is short, smile while you still have teeth0 -
Great news murhphy! :j:beer::beer::j0

murphydog - really pleased at your news, you must be over the moon :j
pink princess - I also buy it when it is on BOGOHP but find that it goes a long way anyway as I just have 1 dsp a day with yogurt. If I cook with flax then I have to eat the lot. I also have half an avocado a day to add to the fibre and try to aim for 21 - 25 g a day, which keeps me going
I have now been low carbing since last June and do feel so much healthier and have more energy.
Off to bed so nite0 -

Still got a way to go before I hit my target but I am so chuffed and the best thing about low carb is I don't have hardly any sweet cravings!Raven. :grinheart:grinheart:grinheart0
