durham_mim - sorry that you are feeling low. I also have difficult neighbours who complain about my grandchildren making noise etc. It is a pain but I understand. I love my plants and would hate to have to take them up.
You need to curl up with a good book / programme and light some candles. I don't think that the miserable weather helps either :(

marrbett - lots of ways to eek out money with eggs, cheese etc. Tesco are doing good veg offers as well with 2 cauliflowers, brocolli etc for £1. I made a lovely vegetable bake over the weekend with left over steamed veg, tin of value tomatoes and cheese sauce. I hope that your headache gets better. Are you drinking enough?

murphydog - I hate moving, with all of the packing / unpacking but at least it is happening ;) I always cook a large chicken and gammon when I am going on holiday, moving etc as then I have plenty of cold meat to use.

    sistercas - thanks

Mercy - how is your holiday going?

sweet, Jerry, alias, Minihauk .......how are you getting on?

daska - are you lurking as we miss you?

Still going to hospital with ex for iv injections, clinics etc. I will catch up when I can :hello:
  • Hi all.. All ok this end. Temp assignment came to an abrubt end! Agency didn't even bother to tell me on friday not to go in on monday, and I was there, all bright and breezy yesterday morning. Going to have to tighten my belt again for a bit. But its all ok.. as I didn't spend too much of what i've earnt over the last 3 weeks... so will make it stretch. Also going to harrass all agencies i'm with until they give me more work!

I didn't feel like eating anything during the day yesterday.. so ended up having just one meal.

Chicken breast stuffed with mozzerella and wrapped in chorizzo. Accompanied by broccoli, carrots, mange tout. DH had mash with his.

Then went to visit MIL and she offered us cake. BOY was that tempting.
I resisted. I've found you really have to stick to this, otherwise you end up going up and down like a yoyo.. (weight wise).

    Morning all,

Not too good today. Feeling down, weepy and stressed. Next door neighbour wants to repair a fence that borders onto the side of our garden. She wants to move it 4" in line with the rest of the fence. This means I have to remove plants which I have tried for years to get established and have only just succeeded. Really fed up with said neighbour and wish we could just move and get away but have to wait until DS finishes school in 3 years time. Last time fence was replaced we made the arrangements and we actually lost a tiny bit of land because the fencer couldn't put posts in correct position because of neighbour's sheds. We have had a previous disagreement over something else a couple of years ago and I just feel we will never have peace, there will always be something she will want changing.

Still managing to stick to diet even though its an effort at the moment.

Its so dragging when you have a next door neighbour like that. My last neighbour was just awful. I don't think you ever forget the agony they put you through. The problem is, your home is meant to be your sanctuary. I don't really know what to suggest.. as in my experience the problem only ever goes away if one of you moves. :(

Hugs to you Durham.. Try to focus on the other aspects of your life.. I know its really hard.

Thanks Jerry & Sheila for the encouragement. I think its because I feel so exhausted that I'm not coping with this too well. Also the ME I suffer with effects me more in terms of dealing with stress, so I try to avoid it as much as possible. I'm trying to take things a bit easier this week I've even missed one session of callanetics (first time since I started them) which I'm disappointed about as it will slow the weight loss down but I know if I push myself too much I'll end up being able to do nothing.

Morning all, just checking in to see how everyone is doing?
We're a family with colds/sore throats at the moment, so feeling very sorry for ourselves.

A very good excuse for sitting in front of the old episodes of the waltons, drinking hot drinks though!

Hope you all have a lovely day.xx

    Morning everyone :hello:

Been busy at hospital with ex the last few days but now he has been discharged.

Still low carbing but with some blips as it can be so difficult to find appropriate food in hospitals. Had porridge for breakfast yesterday and cheese and ryvita at most other times as seemed to be the best option. Everything else was sandwiches, crisps, pastry and fruit

It is very quiet here and no newbies. Come and talk to us, we don't bite :)
