alias - how is the diet going? I will be thinking of you on Thursday :)

It's a little under 2 weeks to the next TOTM and I woke up this morning like a woman possessed. I have shovelled things in my face in the same way a train driver would shovel coal in a steam train's furnace. :o

I can feel myself getting more and more wound up and less and less patient as the day goes on. I can't even blame it on low carbing this time, this is most definitely hormonal.

I've spent the morning rearranging our study just so I can get my outdoor pepper plants in beside the sunniest windowsill. OH had better realise this isn't a good day to complain about it. :D

I'm slightly worried the hypnotherapy wont be starting off on a good footing iyswim. It's not exactly a normal time so it will be starting off on a back foot and have more to contend with. Nothing is ever simple in my world. :o

Let's hope that they find somewhere quickly, but do they have a time period of notice?

With regard to flax, I use it for it's benefits and to keep regular, so to speak. You have had cakes etc from flax, have they caused the same problem?

Yes and no! Officially december, but they have been given an incentive to go next month. Time for crossing fingers again!!

I only make the choc cakes 1-2x a month (mainly if my husband has been good/is stressed, as he loves them) and then only with about 15-20g flax mix in, so not worth worrying about.

In H & B's B1-G1 free I bought hemp seeds with the flax mix, I'll stick with these for the time being. My husband has just started on it and he was saying he feels bloated - which is how I felt when I was trialling it in the 'bread' mix.

As an aside, I've just made a quiche with the ground almond base; previously I found it crumbled too much, so this time after the butter was all mixed in, I added an egg white, and what a difference - much more pastry like and a lot firmer. The quiche mix uses 1 egg and 1 egg yolk so there's one spare anyway. If anyone is looking to do something similar (sweet or savoury) I would recommend it. (Make sure you !!!!! the base with a fork before baking blind, it rises. Obviously it doesn't like the 'P' word, I'm sure it doesn't need explaining!)

NB I have noted the original recipe on the 1st page.
  • Hopefully some exercise today, but didn't have time to do anything yesterday :(

Didn't you mention the Wii..............??Hint hint

andrewsmum - tonight I tried coating a turkey breast with a mixture of parmesan and sesame seeds, dipped in beaten egg first, and it worked a treat and tasted really nice.

35 carbs today so not so bad. My back and arm is playing up from carrying DGD2 yesterday so have given push ups a miss.

murphydog - I will keep fingers and toes crossed for you but may have trouble walking :D

alias - it really sounds like a lot of your problems are hormonal. Do you take any supplements? I am not sure how old you are but there is usually help available. I used to be the same at certain times of the month so sympathise.

OK, Alias, SHUSH. Said in a friendly way and you know I love you. :T

You are flapping. And why not? The day has been tricky and you feel like shittte. It's all gone teetsup and it's not very good.

You have impending a visit to someone (who you secretly believe will find you an impossible task at the best of times) who's going to help you. (but you're impossibly playing up even more than normal so it's not fair on them) So IT'S ALL YOUR FAULT! :naughty::D

Like I say, calm down. It's time to listen to matey mercy. The day is stressed and will be until after Thursday, cos it's all depending on that, innit? You are too scared to put it all on that, but that's what you're doing.

Whoever you go to see will be used to being a last hope. They will be able to deal with you. Help you. It doesn't matter if you feel you are a difficult subject. They can deal with it. That's their job and they're good at it.

What you need to do is go in there, confess how you feel, and trust them. Get your money's worth. Choose to relax and go with the flow.

My love is all around you right now and I'll be sending you love on Thursday too.

Be kind to yourself, understand there are many parts of you. Some of them are scared because you are seeking help to get them in line. Be kind to them. They are you.

    Big love Hunnigirl

Lol, thanks for the gentle nudge ;) I will get around to doing it, promise :D

    Morning all :hello:

Life has been crazy these last couple of weeks & my meal times & exercises have been all to pot!! I'm hoping things will calm down as I really want to get back into a routine (including going on the Wii fit ;)) asap.

    Meals for today:

    B1 - greek yoghurt & flaxseed
    B2 - bacon & eggs
L - 2 buttered GG crispbreads with cheese, pan fried veggie leftovers
D - slow-cooked chilli (made yesterday with stewing steak), cauliflower & broccoli (or veggie leftovers if I don't have them for lunch)

Will get at least 1 x 20 minute walk later & push-ups if I remember!!

Hope everyone is well & has a good LC day - alias, good luck for tomorrow
  • Theyve started selling a new greek yogurt in my Tesco.........

    Tesco Finest Greek Yogurt 500G

    Cost £1.50
    4.5g carbs per 100g

    Its really thick and creamy
  • Me again - just thought I'd share some depressing statistics _pale_

I've been on the Wii fit this afternoon.

I am 3 stone & 10 lbs heavier than when I was last on (didn't go back to see when that was but I think it was last year). Bearing in mind I've already lost 10lbs, so I would have been even heavier if I hadn't started LCing.

I've gone from the middle of the overweight category (BMI 27 something) to well into the obese category (BMI 35 something) since I was last on.

On the plus side, I've just burned off 136 calories doing 26 minutes of exercises on there.

Hmmm, methinks I have a loooong way to go...
