Shopping is good exercise, Ikea is such a maze it's hard not to burn some calories in there.0

This is true. Especially when you go round twice because you forgot something the first time.Herman - MP for all!0 -

not been on for a while, having a hard time of it (just life). anyway i asked a while ago about nightshade food for my friend. Well, I stopped eating tomatoes (just cos i forgot to buy some) and after a week or so i noticed i didnt need to click my fingers in the morning to move them and i didnt get aches in my fingers any more. when i started eating tomatoes again it all returned.
So my question, I eat tomatoes because of the cancer fighting properties (bit of a problem in my family and we may all be tested for a cancer gene), is there any other veg/salad/fruit i can get this same cancer fighting properties from other than tomatoes as I quite like not having aching/clicking fingers?

Just had a totally carb free BBQ and just come in after watching the shooting stars in the cloudless sky above
Now considering whether or not to go into work in the morning. I'm so glad we don't have 'proper' jobs.0 -

Excuse me. This is a low carb thread, not a zero carb thread! She is an extremist who comes down hard on people for having a bowl of porridge once in a while. If you read through this thread, you'll see that when people eat carbs, they always add, that it wasn't low carb.
This thread isn't about being primal. Its not about following any particular plan. Its about a group of people who are trying hard to follow a low carb diet. She isn't missed by that many. IF you miss her so much, then you're welcome to do a search of her last posts... Enjoy.0 -

Hello Nuttybabe - I had a quick search - lycopines are the "magic" ingredient in tomatoes and this link lists some other foods with high levels.

I think though that in general plant flavenoids are good antioxidents which are "protective" so just eat the rainbow of fruit and veg that don't exacerbate your arthritis symptoms, drink tea and eat cocoa solids too.
G&D that sounds like a great evening watching the stars, we saw 2 of those floating lantern thingies last night whilst walking the dog and I am sure I saw the international space station pass too, must check with my knowledgable mate who follows such things.
Durham Min - sorry missed your spa post - that sounds like a great bit of pampering.
I tested out my pushup skills this morning, I can do 24 "man" ones if you don't make me put my chin on the floor!
Best wishes to all for a great week.0 -

Hiya, thanks for that, will have a proper look when kids in bed. I looked at the food list and its stuff that is too high carb for me. I am not low carbing to lose weight, its because carbs affect my asthma.
Think I need to start a food diary as previously mentioned (when I was asking this for my friend) and try these food and see what happens.
Thanks again0
