Wow, well done to your DD1 on her exam results, sister!! :T Is she going to go onto University??
My DD1 is waiting on her AS results - she was supposed to get them via an email link this morning but the link hasn't worked :wall: so I'm taking her into college to get them later, fingers crossed... _pale_0 -

Hiya
Is that because the soluble fibre has solubilised? If it is then you would still be getting it in the food, surely? It won't have been drained away in a porridge situation. Not quite sure what you mean.
Please explain it to a lay person as the fibre start point for your study seems to be different too.
They were taken direct from the 'nutrition data' website Mercy, (I've posted the link a couple of times before), not something I've cobbled together. I'm not a scientist so I don't know how oats metabolise when cooked, your hypotheses might be right, but then yes, that does confuse the issue :undecided0 -

DD2 just got her A level results and she's got into the Uni she wanted to go to
We will probably be going out for a meal tonight to celebrate. She's just said she wants to go to Harvester. I will try to adapt as much as possible.
Tomorrow we have a Spa day. This is for DD2's 18th which was back in June. This is the first convenient date which we could arrange the treat. We will be welcomed with champagne and chocolates, and lunch is included. I will try to stick to a low carb lunch (probably something with salad), but will still enjoy the champagne & chocolate treats.Weight loss 0/2st

Lot of clever kids around here today, tell her well done.
OH wants to celebrate tonight too. He wants to to to Nandos.
What is he celebrating? The fact the latest 'Bourne' film is at the pictures. :rotfl:
I guess I'll be outside with my nose pressed against the glass.Herman - MP for all!0 -

All good. My tummy is the size of a jetty, have to admit! Can't believe how bloated i've got just by eating sandwiches and a bag of crisps!
Have had a good day. Morning was ruined. I showered, suited and booted myself up, spent 3.60 on a bus ticket and went to my interview. The bored looking, uninterested receptionist told me my interview is NEXT Thursday! Well, why would I go today then? They made the mistake, and I got no apology. GUTTED.
Food wise.
Didn't have lunch till 3.00 pm. That was grilled plaice with spinnach.
Dinner is going to be veg curry and yoghurt.0 -

The science behind what m'dear?
The question is does soluble fibre still count as fibre in porridge? :rotfl:
Surely you can answer that one?

Basically google it.

Dukan Diet reasons

Seems to be the soluble fibre which is contributing to a feeling of non-'congestion' (:D) and for that I am grateful. :rotfl:
When on regular low carbing I was sometimes bothered by constipation. Now on Dukan, where fat is removed too, I would have expected to be bothered at least as much. Nope. :j Think Dr Dukan is onto something hereAlso, the benefits of lowering cholesterol and improving types of cholesterol in the blood is to me just a bonus.
I will not speak of oats again. Mostly.
:rotfl: :T :j  :A
