Ooops, noooooooo, sorry for the confusion!! I don't like milk or cream in my coffee, that's why I drink mine black0 -
Hey up all, soundslike we're all doing pretty well, and hello to the new peeps :j
I buy my sausages from Aldi, either the 8 pack 'butchers choice' style as they are pretty low in carbs, or the 6 pack posh sausages which are lush but a bit more pricey.
Also tried Aldi's frozen Basa fish fillets last night, topped them with a chopped almond, garlic & chilli crust, gorgeous! Think they were £2 for a 400 bag (3 fillets)
Going for an Indian meal with work tonight so that will be fun, trying to find something I can eat while explaining to everyone why I'm not having the rice or naan breads lol!
Yest looked like this
Brekkie - homemade toasted oat & nut meusli with almond milk (clean eating not low carb)
lunch - stuffed pepper (with courgette, tom, onion, chilli) & salad with cheese
Dinner - the basa fish with salad0 -
jerryjerry where do you get your sausages from cause I didn't know you could have them on low card...cheers
As a starting point, look for anything with a high (90% or more) meat percentage as it tends to be the fillers that add the carbs.
A couple of examples from my freezer, all carb counts are per 100g...
Black Farmer 90% pork gluten free sausages: 1g (although these contain soy)
Sainsburys TTD 95% pork outdoor bred sausages: 1.3g
And a few more I found when getting the carb counts...
Sainsbury's Toulouse inspired gluten free sausages: 1.4g
Tesco Finest Pork and Chive sausages: 1.3g
Jimmy's Farm sausages: 0.5g
ASDA Extra Special Cumberland sausages: 1.5g
Waitrose pork and herb chipolatas: 0.8g
I'll also sometimes get the Harrogate 97% sausages because I love them, but they're a bit higher at 3.5g.0 -

Hi Avstar, when I go for an indian I try and go for anything cooked in the tandoor (apart from bread of course!) Anything with a sauce I generally don't trust, so i'll have a sikh kebab with salad or grilled butterfly king prawns for starter and then for main I'll have 'dry' chicken Tikka or marinated lamb kebabs with more salad, even if the place doesn't have them on the menu, they'll generally serve them for you..... and if I'm good and dodge the samosas etc, I can usually squeeze in a few vodka and slimline tonics so I don't feel too deprived!
Sheila, I'm not going anywhere exciting, wish I was! Just off to England to see my parents and do a few jobs, catching the ferry tomorrow lunchtime. Leaving the kids with my Husband for 2 days, looking forward to the peace and quiet!!0 -
Daska yes you do sound abrupt.. I was only asking a question. I didn't want to trawl through 629 pages thank you, not just for 1 simple question. that is what a forum is all about. To all the people that answered me thankyou...0

Bit harsh there, sweetie. I clicked on the link and it did take one straight to answers over the next 2 pages. No real need to trawl 629 pages, no one expected you to
I used to favour asda's gluten free sausies at a 'trace' of carbs but they don't seem to do them at mine anymore. May still be available at other asda shops though.

Er.. I think the poster was expecting the other poster to look through all the other threads, but he/she was helpful in the end, by including the link. Its a case of... here is the link, but you really ought to look through. Now.. this thread is THAT long, that you couldn't really look through over 600 pages for an answer as you'd starve to death! hahaha.
Anyway, just checked the carb content on the Lidl Giant German Bockwerst Sausages and its a lovely 0.5. Guess what I'll be having a lot of next week? AND they're cheap. You only need one.
I sometimes chop one up and saute a few mushrooms in butter, then add chopped tomato and finally the sausage with some herbs.. Yummy... A dollop of double cream is quite nice as well at the end just to finish it off.0 -

Where do you live Cherrypies that you'd need to come on a ferry to England? I hope that's not being too nosey. If you'd rather not say, that's fine by me.. as I know we ought to respect each other's privacy. Enjoy your meal tonight by the way. I love indian food. I'm going to make myself some lamb kebabs at the week-end after reading this.0 -

Haha, nope, not nosey at all! I live slap bang in the middle of the Irish sea - the Isle of Man. I'm originally from Cheshire, ended up here 3 years ago when my Husband took a new job. I love it, it's the countryside by the seaside, very quiet and safe. Odd little place too, our own nation, not part of the UK or the EU and we even have our own currency/government/laws0 -
cazxx1 - hi, I think that you misunderstood as daska did give a link directly to the answer to the question that you asked. The same questions often crop up so it is useful to have the input from the previous discussion regarding the matter and then others might give their opinion as well, a double whammy
LondonDreamer - I was not aware that Black Farmer contain soy, thanks I will have a rethink.
cherrypies - do you generally get good weather or bad? Have a safe journey
Mercy - 13 weeks without smoking, doing well. How are you finding Dukan this week?0
