Morning from a dark, rainy Dorset.
A question- as we are not supposed to use sunflower oil, should we be avoiding sunflower seeds? I've been sprinkling them (along with pine nuts) on my salads for ages, and its suddenly dawned on me that it may not be the thing to do???
The coconut oil arrived this morning, and its nice enough to dip your finger into and lick!!! Did someone used to do something decadent with chocolate with it???

    Have a good Saturday everyone.x

The seeds are fine. The sunflower oil has been processed and it's easy to use way more than a handful of seeds would get you.

Try looking at the cococandy recipe on the page 1 list. I have made this many times but you have to keep it in the fridge :D Can't remember what's on there but I like using ground linseeds, melted 70% choc and a little peanut butter in mine for a nutty treat. You can do many things with the basic recipe.

Yes, feeling better and brighter this morning, if I could I'd be doing this: :j :j :j

I made a cake last night, DS2 is going to a birthday party so it will be part of her present. Really cute fairytale cottage and I've just dusted it with green and pink icing sugar and added some little butterflies and hundreds and thousands around the base for flowers :D And no, I didn't eat any :A

Unfortunately the party is located in the High Street of the local town where there's a much publicised parade going on today - and it starts at the same time as the parade. Apparently the police were out erecting barriers and blocking off roads at 5am and by 10 it was already chocker. So getting there could be fun!

Breakfast was frittata cos DS2 refused to eat it and a bowl of strawberries and cream. I love this decadent lifestyle LOL

    How's your ankle Sheila?

daska - it was my back and shoulder and they are still stiff and sore but better overall. I have had surgery twice in that area so there is a weakness anyway. Thanks for asking :) I am glad that you are feeling better and hope that the birthday party goes well.

I melt 70 / 85% chocolate with coconut oil and then add nuts, coconut or just have it plain. Yummy and moreish.

No weight loss to report this week, but I'm relieved I haven't put it back on again.

Last night I made a really lovely Cheese & Garlic sauce, which I really enjoyed. The recipe can be found on my blog in yesterdays post.
Tonight I am making spicy fried cauliflower which I haven't had for a few years, so looking forward to that. Recipe for this is also on my blog.

Did The BMI thing but I'm not saying what mine is except that it is way too high :( Feeling rather daunted by how much I need to lose.

Not enough eggs left to make mexican fudge so:

    B - 2 egg mushroom/bacon/gruyere* creamy scrambled eggs
L - 2 buttered GG crispbreads with mexican cheddar & 4 cherry toms
D - chicken with creamy mushroom sauce, cauli mash & green beans

    * thanks to whoever mentioned gruyere a couple of days ago, it prompted me to buy some yesterday - yum :D

I wanted to try greek yoghurt (ashamed to say I've never had it before so just wanted a small tub) but the lowest carb one I could find in the regular supermarkets was Total 0% fat free at 4g per 100g - cost me £1 for a small one  If I like it I'm going to buy the bucket size one out of Lidl ;)

Also going to get me an avocado as I've never had them either - I've led such a sheltered life!! :rotfl:

    Afternoon all!

Last night, I had a whole packet of pork scratchings. I read on here that they are ok to eat?

Also, had 5 large vodkas with low cal tonic. Feel a bit guilty today as I know deep down that that is not good for me on any level. Anyway, that was yesterday.

    Today:

Lunch: 3 fried eggs, 2 sausages, mushrooms.
Dinner: will be bolognaise sauce with grated cheese.

Avacados are nice, in my opinion, and very good for fibre, fat and nuitrients. I have half of one a day and it gives 5.8g fibre which is 25% of what is needed to keep regular :D They are usually 59p in Lidl / Aldi but may need a few days to ripen.
Have you ever had guacamole as avocado is the base for this?

Greek yogurt is lovely, the Lidl one is great but I also go down the organic probiotic route with Yeo Valley although it has more carbs.
