wished i had had one of those last weekend and loving the tattoos :rotfl:

    hope the party went well

just to say mazzers butter chicken is AMAZING :T everybody here loved it

mazzers how is your knee? what did the doc say

After Doc manipulated it to see what range of movements i had, it was really tender last night, felt 'tight' like if i bent it, the skin would split.
He sent me for x-ray and wont get results for two weeks :(
Is ok if i rest but hurts if i move it, personally i think it's the cartilage, so wont show up on x-ray. We'll see.

Cant take credit for inventing butter chicken, only for finding it :)

I use lard Edwardia, did give up for years for being 'unhealthy' but back on it now.. it makes the best pastry ever :D

Mercy - Breakfasts have been / will be coconut oil shake with turmeric and black pepper

Hi, could you elaborate on this please, as I googled and could only find recipes using banana and milk with the C oil & turmeric. Thanks! :)

    Hiya

I have a skin condition which responds well to Turmeric. Indeed, i need to take it everyday :rotfl: Turmeric is partly water soluble and partly fat soluble. To get the best out of it i use full fat goats milk as this should use both ways of making Turmeric bio-available. The black pepper acts as a booster for Turmeric absorbtion.

I decided to add coconut oil as a way of making the oil more palatable. Also, when blended with the milk, it does not repeat on me or threaten a reappearance. :rotfl:

    So it's

    100-120ml ff goats milk
    1-2 teaspoons turmeric
2 or 3 grinds of black pepper.
    Blend
    add melted coconut oil
    blend again.

it's not that unpleasant but I do rather rush it down :) Without the coconut oil it's actually quite nice. :rotfl:

I wouldn't use the banana as it's not low carb. Bet it tastes good though :D

Incidentally, using 50g coconut oil as above keeps me full from 6.30 till 12.30.

Turmeric is good for all skin conditions and taken as above without the coconut oil can help eczema, psoriasis, etc. It can also be used on the skin in cuts and athlete's foot to aid repair. I have used it for athlete's foot and it works well. Make a paste with water, apply and cover.

    Thank you Mercy! :)

That's why I asked because I knew what I'd found wasn't low carb.

Interesting......my son (18) has been on all sorts of prescribed lotions and potions for eczema for 18 mths - can't imagine him drinking that though....you know what teenagers can be like!:o

    LOL

I never thought I'd drink it either :rotfl: However when you are desperate it's funny what you'll do :D

I definitely know it works as I went for 6 months without any flare ups so stopped taking it. After 2 weeks I was in a real mess again :o Resuming the shake seemed to prevent any further outbreaks and it had mostly sorted it out within 10 days. Daren't not take it now :rotfl:

Yes please dundeedoll ! Learned German in school but have hardly used it, so I'd find translating a big struggle :(

Also, did you buy the lemon oil or make it ?

I put turmeric and cider vinegar in salad dressings Mercy as both are supposed to help lower blood sugar. The turmeric gives the dressing a great colour. :) I adore goat's cheese but have only had the milk at an agricultural show fresh from the goat.. bit of an accquired taste !

well done confused76 for the crouton avoidance and bossymoo you're a heroine !

mazzers.. I'm soo glad I'm not the only lard user :) Two weeks seems an awful long time to wait for xray results. Most hospitals have xray systems which can put the xray pic on a computer and email to the GP now.

Yes it is, i asked 'will i have any results today' and was told 'no, in about a fortnight', my friend said the same as you though.

The daikon/mooli recipie was from here

    http://yourlighterside.com/daikon-au-gratin/

But Par boiled it first. I'm planning a shepherds pie next. I buy them from an Asian store, they're about 70-80p each. Watch out for recipies asking for 1/2 a daikon etc, as there are lots or varieties and they vary in size. The one I bought was 300g.

Did I miss Mazzers butter chicken recipie?
