    Hi all :)

I am loving the mushroom recipes, really want to have one now for lunch. Am going to do a little shop this evening as running low on low carb goodies. Think i really need to start counting carbs because am not really losing much or nothing at all. I know i shouldnt weigh myself daily but i cant help myself (am addicted) but its just once in the morning as a guide. Think am eating too much food with sodium in it. Like salami and having almost a whole Matheson smoked sausage in two days doesnt help. Going to go back to just basic meat and veg and increase my veg intake because its terrible right now.

So many different vegetables i want to try right now, turnips to make chips, jicama as i saw it mentioned on the atkins board alot and marrow to stuff and oven bake. :) hmmm exciting!!

hope everyone has a good day x

Third day back to 20 carbs and Atkins induction. Put on 6lb last week but have already lost it so I must have been eating too many carbs :p

I really hope that this gives my weight the kickstart that it needs as I have only lost 8lb since Christmas. Will carry on and see what happens next week. I have to do a buffet for my granddaughters birthday on Sunday so that will be the acid test but I am actually enjoying salads now that the weather is better. Miss the nuts & chocolate though. :(

focus888 - processed food & nitrates can slow weight loss, as can alcohol. It really is better, in my opinion, to eat healthily and make things from scratch but it does take time.

How is everyone and other halves, kids etc?

breakfast - 2 egg omelette with 45g cheese and salad leaves

mid - morning - decaff coffee with cream

lunch - half an avacado with prawns and mayo.

mid - afternoon - St Agur Delice with cucumber sticks

evening - vegetable curry with chicken

treat - low calorie jelly with 2 tbsp cream

See, that would be my main problem - I don't want ONE - I would probably eat 2 or 3 ......
and I am definately going back to basics from tomorrow, too (too late for today, sandwish and fruit for lunch, so from tea tonight will restart)

    Wish me luck please.

Mazzers - I hope things are not too bad for you. Stay with us if you can.

Sheila, thanks for the kick, I needed it, but got it too late to prevent carbs today.

I love the look of the spiralizer on another thread - would make a great addition to lc life.

Omg i didnt see it on here i did come across it on youtube randomly on a cooking clips. I really really want one of these but for £40 i can justify it yet as i am one of those kitchen gadget people and i end up buying stuff and only using it once so if i brought one of these my mum would kill me. I take up so much room with the items i already have. Have to stay on track for a couple of months and then show her this wasnt a waste of money.

Does anyone make cauli rice with just a grater? i saw people doing it online with a food processor but ours broke and cant afford to immediate go out and buy one. :( x

Hi Edwardia, i love kettle chips so i can completely understand. Nevermind, a new day and all that. Boredom definitely makes me eat bad things.

Does anyone make their own vegetable crisps? So many good recipe videos online :) i want to make everything.

Had steak for dinner and i tried making turnip chips. Oh my goodness they were amazing!! I am definitely going to be making them again.

LOL Minihauk, that was me talking about the spiralizer on Mardatha's thread. I made my courgette noodles with a mandolin and they were 'ok' but a bit short because I couldn't cut them lengthwise. I did think for a while that I might try to get hold of a handheld one (like a potato peeler but with spiky bits LOL) as that would possibly work lengthwise but then you end up cutting near your hand. It's going to happen, I know it will ;)

Morning all ! Decided to jump on a train and go see my mother. Sunny but bit chill here by the sea.

I've tried own swede chips but not crisps. Found a recipe for kale ones online so may try those.

Being dragged off to 24hr Tesco instead of beach :(
