B: 2 slices flax toast (~1g)
L: Prawn cocktail (~3g)
T: Rump steak with swede chips 'n' salad (Dunno.. 5-10g..?)

O: Tea, coffee, water/green-t+lemon-j, s/f gum, teeny 'nibblick' of lasagne, nearly licked fingers after handing out doughnuts, but got OH to do it for me (nearest we've got to foreplay in a while! :rotfl:) (~4g?)

Total carbs: ~ 20g..?

Exercise: Dog walk, ~10-15 mins 'Tabata'*, ~1/2 hr. Yoga. Oh and swimming: we were in there for ~1 hr, but I can't claim to have done much exercise: more like supervising/playing. Every little helps though

*
• 5 minutes of warm-up
• 8 intervals of 20 seconds all-out intensity exercise followed by 10 seconds of rest
• 2 minutes cool-down

Not sure I quite mange the 'all intensity', but I do try/push almost as hard as I can, which hopefully is good enough.. (maybe not 100%, as worried I won't manage later rounds.. ~95% perhaps... ) Didn't use a cycle machine as don't have one. Did skipping, burpees, push-ups, star squats, 'No.1 fat burning exercise', crunchies, air jacks, & 'single arm stand' (from wii fit).

Got a bit of a bad back now.. not sure if it's
[STRIKE] the swimming or[/STRIKE] the burpees, or possibly the 'No.1 fat burner'.. I did a few extra after my timer stopped, to try and get the form right/learn it properly mainly, and perhaps my back wasn't as straight/strong as it should have been as fatigue set in...

Oh... OH didn't tell me till last night that he used a whole swede for the mash I had on Sunday night! It was one of those little ones, but still... I ate most of it, and chops seemed to thoroughly enjoy his crunchies being coated in the rest of it :D

Morning, a frosty but sunny day :)

I wish we could all meet up down the pub for the day  :D

Slept the clock around, all that driving/rushing/early mornings/long days caught up with me, voice still a bit croaky but i feel refreshed.

Have come to the conclusion that i wanna stay in my current job til i retire, so if i moan about it... slap me!

Hann you make me feel guilty that i dont use my cross-trainer, i might attempt 20mins later :D

Right, i'm off for a ....................... glass of water

'Morning all :wave::wave:

Well, am determined to get back into it, so breakfast was 2 GG crackers with Sains basic pnb. No idea of the carb content, but can't be too many (I think 6 for the crackers and 3ish for the pnb)
Not ideal but a start.

Sheila - well done on the weight loss so far - brilliant :T.

Hann - you are doing so well, too. I have arthritis in my knees and can't manage exercise, so have a lot of admiration for anyone who manages to do some.

Cas - hope you are feeling better today. Keep that chin up, you know you can do it.

(I sound like an American advert for something) Enough - got to do some of the w**k I get paid for ......

managed to IF last night - just had my lunch now ( early i know but its when i have my break at work) so 16 hours . just had some left over mince and cabbage from last nights tea supplemented with a slice of lc bread . i much prefer the lc bread now.

did any of you watch horizons thing on exercise last week? i watched the other day and basically says if you do 12 minutes exercise a MONTH!! its more beneficial than pounding on a treadmill for hours at the gym. you have to do a minute on an exercise bike going hell for leather ( broken into 3 20 second spurts) 3 times a week . i havent got an exercise bike , but have got a cross trainer , i had a go last night and TBH i couldnt do the last 20 seconds i was too kn@ckered , my legs were like jelly lol.. im going to continue and see if it helps with insulin sensitivity .

thankyou for all your supportive posts , it really helps more than you would know :A :T

That is sooooo my kind of thing. :rotfl:

Well I went shopping this morning so I have veg again.

Shopping is the work of the Devil. I hate it. Unless it's shopping in the garden centre. I like that kind. :D

Chilli and veg of some sort for tea tonight I think. Might even have turnip chips, not had them for ages.

Going to spend the afternoon potting up my seedlings I think. Simple things and all that. :)

Thank you everyone for all of your kind remarks but I was extremely overweight so the first 3 stone came off fairly easily:D

mazzers - glad that you made the decision about the job. I think that we have to leave sometimes to appreciate what we had

sistercas - hormones are a pain. I remember that my ex used to say that he could say that black was black and white was black and they would both be wrong:o Admire you for IT, don't think that I could do it.

Minihauk - you have made the right decision. Can you go swimming if your knees are playing up?

hannoja - you are a skinny ribs compared to the rest of us. How are you
today?

aliasojo - I really do find it hard to eat meals without veg and actually enjoy shopping, especially when I get a bargain. Enjoy the garden - I have to get round to sowing some seeds myself but am getting lazy!

Well I have gone lower carb than usual in the past week and been on the exercise bike 3 times and guess what, I have put on 1lb:(

breakfast - scrambled egg with 1 ryvita - 8 carbs

lunch - cheese with cucumber and a handful of berries - 4 carbs

I really find it helpful when we listen to and encourage each other.
Thank you all so much:T

I would love to meet up with you all for a drink, or two, but we probably live very far apart.

Feel like I have hijacked this thread so please add something, those who have left or say thanks but don't post.

why do employers make life so bloomin difficult  hope you can get sorted out mazzers

was feeling hungry so ive had 1 square of choc and a few brazils . hoping that will take me till teatime , but if not ive got an atkins bar stashed for emergencies :)

sheila how frustrating , all i know is the body doesnt lose weight in a linear fashion , so often hard work in the diet and exercise dept doesnt get rewarded :(

Hi...been lurking (!). Due to crap excuses like '13 year together anniversary' I fell off the wagon last 2-3 wks...now back to where I started (well 1/2 kg lighter!).

Need to get ORGANISED. Got out of the habit of making my flax/almond 'bread'...etc.

G/F is away on an exchange trip to sunny spain (she teaches languages)-so on my own...gonna deffo make a load of low carb soups, chillis, etc. Always end up finishing work (I work in sales from home)-a good few voddies (so uncondusive to weight loss) & get the munchies & end up eating 3 or 4 ryvitas with cheese....

Good news is I took the 1 1/4 hr drive to flourbin.com (also an excuse to drive my newish car-just had it re-mapped/tuned for economy-plus side is a huge gain in torque/power!) & now have loads of gluten & oat flour. Trying the recipe mazzers uses from lowcarbinthe uk as we speak.

Mazzers/anyone-did u try the ORIGINAL recipe (has soy/bran in it)-that is VERY low carb-3.4 a slice.

Also gonna try this http://www.lowcarbcooking.co.nz/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=182:low-carb-bread-for-the-breadmaker-machine&catid=42:baking&Itemid=56 -you can get coconut flour at holland & barrets.

Right...REALLY need to get organised & cut down on the old voddie...hope you're all ok!

Hello everybody! I'm back from my weekend away and unfortunately had more of a blow out than intended. No weight loss recorded this week but I'm back on plan so hoping it won't take too long to recreate ketosis. Not too annoyed with myself but want to be more structured this week! Thanks to all those with the tips for what to eat at an indian restaurant - really enjoyed my trip and didn't go crazy on the carbs (unlike the rest of the weekend!!).
