mazzers & alias - come on now, life isn't so bad but the weather is enough to put a dampner on everything:D How about a nice skip down the road, waving your umbrella and singing, I'm singing in the rain. Done it before when I'm down and gives everyone a good laugh.

We are not fat, just generously proportioned and lovely with it:)
Would you really want to be stick thin, as I like my curves, though I'd like there to be a few less of them!

I'd just look bloody stupid if I did...the sun's shining here. :rotfl:

Btw, I am fat. :p:D No two ways about it. :rotfl:

Don't want to be stick thin, just normal. :)

But thanks for trying to cheer us up. :D

If the sun is shining you could have gone out and sang the sun has got his hat on:D Can you tell that I used to run a pre-school after I had to give up nursing?

I don't know how much you both have to lose but I am sure that you are not that bad and being down on yourselves is counter productive. Lecture over. Sorry if I sound bossy:eek:

mazzers - I would never stay in a job that I didn't like unless I really had to, financially. It is hard enough to get up and go to work each day. What are the people like?

I am enjoying cooking but haven't been on the dreaded bike yet! Being disciplined is so hard.

Hi everyone, especially you three chatterboxes that have kept the thread going today :D

I'm feeling down too. What a bunch!

Got wine on the way home. Guzzling it merrily. Don't care. OH made me a wonderful tea though: 2 lamb steaks with gorgeous swede mash and broccoli. Yummity yumm! There's a bit of 'smash' and broccoli left which I'll eat if I get the munchies later :A

Sheila, about the bike. I bet it's hard getting the effort up to do it. Do you have good music on whilst you're doing it? That's the only thing I can think of to help. I've made a rule that I will only do exercise I enjoy, unless I feel that it's so beneficial that I can keep it up, occasionally e.g. Callanetics: not my fave, but feel it's worth it, and only do once a week now. Music can help though!

So you reckon the IF's cured your heartburn Mazzers..? Interesting.

I don't want to be stick thin either. Just nice and 'womanly' :p

    Hi
If I am down my family, who live with me, tell me to grow up and snap out of it as it is affecting my grandchildren. As I don't want to affect kids you learn to hide it. Today is a good day but I get down sometimes as well:(

Perhaps we should be honest and tell how much we have to lose so that we can support each other more. I will be honest and say that, when I started last year I weighed nearly 20 stone but am now 14st 3lb. Taken me over 9 months so far but I lost 1 stone in the first 2 weeks which was amazing and that kept me going. Now it is hard as I have to work for it but I am 61 and, if I don't do it now I never will!
Having had major back problems and surgery from lifting heavy patients, no hoists in those days, I don't want to do that to others.
I had tried everything, weightwatchers, slimming world etc but they just didn't work so this has been a real eye opener for me.

I want to lose another 2 and a half stone, not that this will be my goal weight but GP has advised me that to get to ten stone would be unrealistic and I would look haggard.

I guess that we are all ages and live in different places but, if we support each other we can do it.

I know that you have helped me and, I may be old, but I really appreciate it:T

Love and hugs:wave::wave: to each one of you.

lol I love how some people think that having/showing feelings and/or being sensitive means you need to grow up!

You sound lovely, and 61 isn't exactly knocking on Heaven's door now is it ;) <hugs Sheila>

I could do with shifting a couple of stone, then I shouldn't be too bad. It's the saggy baby belly that worries me, though it does seem to be shrinking and tightening, so there's hope..

    This helps me too :)

Understand mazzers as I really want to break the 14 stone barrier but it is a long time coming.

hannoja - post baby belly may never be flat again but often seems to come down to exercise. You have a lot on your plate but keep at it.
Will try the music tomorrow when using the bike, as you suggest.

    Nite all
