Pink, I know you are in a carppy situation now but this last sentence is so important. Believe me your MH is everything! Although some things are bad at laeast you have a better workplace (where you spend soooo much time!) and that you have some social life.
If you are feeling an improvement in your MH then this is really great.
I have been in a bad workplace before and it was so awful and it impacted on me so much. All those tears in the car driving to work as I hated it so much and the fear setting in on Sunday night as I realised I had another week to get through.
Try and think of your current situation as a stepping stone, it isn't forever and you will find a way to get out of it and get back some of the good things you miss.
Is your dad's flat being demolished as well? Is he going to have to move?
Take care!
Thanks, yeah, I just have moments that I can just get through it all and then days like today when I want to be in a nice place with my own things around me. His place is one of the few that are staying, the council have just put in a new bathroom and kitchen (the old ones were put in in 1971 so were quite a mess). There was no shower until 2 months ago, but it's a great power shower and so I can cope with them now with a nice kitchen to cook in.
I just know as long as I still own my flat I don't feel like a loser (not that I judge anyone else on that). I just hope I can hang onto it.
I used to get that feeling on Sunday mornings. I hated it. I actually look forward to work on Monday's now (well, as much as anyone can). It's a great place though, we have cakes during the week, tea every hour, jokes being cracked. Even being there for this short time has made such an improvement, I actually like people again and have realised that people actually like me. I'm so being myself now, I was always berated for it in England.
Maybe you're right, it will pass.
At least the weather is getting better so that I can wear some of those toeless shoes I bought last summer but haven't worn yet. I have a lovely pair of black patent ted baker shoes with a cream leather band across the toe and a buckle, that are like sandals/courts i.e. no toes.

I have been there too, certainly don't miss those Sundays. The best thing I ever did was to leave, I had to take a small pay cut but I have loads more free time and no work stress, I can't believe I stuck it out that long. You spend so much time at work that it is important to be happy there. I still hate my current job but that is more because I hate working, it interferes with my lady of leisure lifestyle:DPay/save £20k in 2010 £5888.75/£20,000June Mini target 0/5lbs Total 23/40Ebay profit 2010: March £207:) April £95:) May £130:) June £0 Total £432:j0 -
Well, I am on the first day of the plan. I have cheated slightly already:rolleyes: as i meant to go out yesterday to stock up, but I was too lazy so I did it this morning instead.
So, I started after that, usually I would get a newspaper on a Saturday and then spend a couple of hours reading it, along with something from McDonalds. I generally read the papers online in the week but I love my Saturdays with paper and rubbish food. I was going to still get the paper but as it is only for 3 months and I am trying to cut all unnecessary spending I had to read it online which might not sound very much but it is a big thing to me:D I still needed greasy food so I had cheese on toast and coffee instead of a take away. Total spend £0.
Also went to put the lottery on which was £5 but I won £2 last week and collected that so total spend £3. I am hoping to have an NSD tomorrow as the cupboards are full and there is nothing I need.Pay/save £20k in 2010 £5888.75/£20,000June Mini target 0/5lbs Total 23/40Ebay profit 2010: March £207:) April £95:) May £130:) June £0 Total £432:j0 -

I've got £4 in my bank account. I am so desperate to jump in my car and go to the shops to buy chocolate, but there is no way I will get cheap chocolate nor just buy chocolate.

But you are doing it now, so be thankful for that. Be grateful that you have already had your LBM and are trying to sort it. I know it's hard, I would be nice and comfy in my own house with a nice car if I hadn't got into this mess, but what's done is done. The important thing is getting it sorted out. And you will, so don't panic. If you want chocolate go to the shop with £1 so you can;t get anything else, leave your cards at home.Pay/save £20k in 2010 £5888.75/£20,000June Mini target 0/5lbs Total 23/40Ebay profit 2010: March £207:) April £95:) May £130:) June £0 Total £432:j0 -

It is hard to break a habit, my other problem is going to be the vending machine at work. However, all these little habits have cost me a fortune:rolleyes: so I will have to try, anything I really miss can be reinstated at the end of the 3 months.
what I am more concerned with is the big spends though, I don't want to end up spending 3 months worth of newspaper money on a skirt in a rash moment. I will make a note of anything I really, really want and if I still want it at the end of the the 3 months I can think about it again. I am not going to tell myself I can't have something, just that I can't have it now.Pay/save £20k in 2010 £5888.75/£20,000June Mini target 0/5lbs Total 23/40Ebay profit 2010: March £207:) April £95:) May £130:) June £0 Total £432:j0 -

The best thing about this time of year is digging out all those clothes and shoes you haven't worn in ages. I love it! Almost like having a new wardrobe!!
Hurrah to new (ish) shoes! :j
I really need to break my habits around food. I'm practically addicted to snacks and other dodgy food. My actual meals are pretty good and healthy but I'm a sucker for between meals snacking. And half the time it is just a habit rather than actually being hungry and needing something to eat.I've got my own flat :j:j
Now I have to pay the bills
And feed my interiors addiction0 -
Also small confession. I have subscribed to Elle Deco - there was a special offer on the Libertys mailing I got (goodness knows how I'm on there but I love the idea that I'm the sort of person that shops in there properly!!!) and got it for £18 which is a lot off!!!!
I'm thinking will give me a good motivation to keep saving to get my flat (????)
Hmm, quite a few of my money saving ideas involve spending these days?! :rolleyes:I've got my own flat :j:j

I do this all the time.:o I must get this cafetiere/lamp/vase/bookcase/pan/wine glasses/bedding etc now, as it is such a bargain and it will save me money now because I won't have to pay the full price for it later. The upshot of this is that I could probably furnish a house now. I just can't afford one.Pay/save £20k in 2010 £5888.75/£20,000June Mini target 0/5lbs Total 23/40Ebay profit 2010: March £207:) April £95:) May £130:) June £0 Total £432:j0
