Hmm Lula is right Sarah, it will mean more spending.
I have the amazon page open too...............................
7 pounds off the credit card.
not 7 pounds in more debt.Nevertheless she persisted.0 -
They certainly do. 5 drops counts as your 5 a day. Can be substituted with sherbet lemons, cherry drops and toffee apples.
Cherry drops for me then.Although my dentist might extract a premium for such indulgence.
Time for my bed now. I have a couple of books that I would like to read, rather than sleep with... I hate that feeling when you wake up during the night still clutching the book, and with a very numb hand.
Night all, and here's to a fine and fabulous Friday.0 -

It's a voucher so I can't pay it off the debts, however, I don't want to polishing dust off it which is what happens with every other piece of equipment I have ever had:rolleyes: Will wait for a while, maybe see how I feel at half a stone down and whether I feel it would be worth it.Pay/save £20k in 2010 £5888.75/£20,000June Mini target 0/5lbs Total 23/40Ebay profit 2010: March £207:) April £95:) May £130:) June £0 Total £432:j0 -
Right. The masterplan. I have decided that I am going to need a very strict plan as if there are any loopholes I will find them and pop through them. The key word is going to be frugality. I am going to stick to this plan for 3 months, 19th April-19th July.
I will stick it out and at the end and then I will see if there is anything I will keep doing or anything I will never suffer again. Have deliberately set the start for tomorrow as I want a spending diary from Paperchase and a visit to Starbucks first:D Old habits die hard;)
The Plan.
I will remind myself it is only for 3 months and not forever.
No unnecessary spending. This means no scratchcards, magazines, newspapers, cappuccinos, take aways, snacks, Boots bargains, etc
No books. It is only for 3 months and I have enough here unread to keep me going.
No shoes or clothes. I don't need them.
No internet shopping. I just won't look.
Make a shopping list and stick to it. If I run out of something or I have forgotten it, I will have to wait until the next shopping trip. I will get the reduced stuff and freeze it.
Report back on here every time I spend anything.
Post on here about every little thing I do to reduce my debts.
No taxis. I will get the bus. *cries*
No toiletries except toothpaste and hairspray. I have enough of everything else.
Pay all my overtime pay into my savings.
I am going to challenge myself to see how much free stuff I can get during the next 3 months.
Lose 15lbs.
I will declutter my wardrobe and toiletries drawer.
I will use cash for everything. No credit cards, no debit cards. Hopefully the pain of parting with cash will make me less inclined to do so. I will start with £100 in my purse and see how long it lasts.
I will try for as many NSDs as possible.
I will stop buying myself little treats whenever I go to the shops. I will think of a nice treat for the end of this instead. I will wait to see what I miss most before I choose it.Pay/save £20k in 2010 £5888.75/£20,000June Mini target 0/5lbs Total 23/40Ebay profit 2010: March £207:) April £95:) May £130:) June £0 Total £432:j0 -

morning sarah,
What a fabulous plan :A
I will be supporting & encouraging you all the way :A but just in case you veer off the path I shall keep one of these >handy
.
I have a lovely big pink book that was meant to be for my ou notesin which I write all my spending, financial transactions etc & I love it
Sadly, I counted all the pages in it & there are enough for me to have a page for each day for the rest of my debtdom with a few left over too.
I am going to tatco this morning for some food shopping & am going to be very strict & not indulge myself with any fripperies as a reward for going to tatco in the first place
Will report back later,
Enjoy your day

Ooh well spotted skint_spice I didnt even notice0 -
I'm sending  BIG positive vibes :dance:to the masterplanners. These three and six month plans are great; it doesn't seem like forever, but it's still being long enough to really make an impact. So  to Sarah's plan. Plus a  for skint_spice for joining. And a :A to Lula on a grand grand's worth of debt paid off - how did I not notice that before?
I have a lovely Moleskine diary for my spending. It's full of colour and pictures, so I can understand the attachment to beautiful diaries and record books.I am a partly reformed Paperchase addict.
My mum gave me some Easter treat money that I hadn't spent, so I have bought a pretty pair of summer shoes from East - they're basketweave slides in a sort of fern green. Aside from that, it's been a good day for not spending, despite the presence of a French market in town and walking past both Hotel Chocolat and Thorntons.
Someone reversed into the car the other day, and it has taken the insurance ages to sort it out. However, I have just signed my life away in quadruplicate for the temporary replacement, which is a convertible - dunno how we managed that, but I am not complaining.I am really hoping that the weather cheers up a bit so we get the chance to try it out over the weekend. We're off to see the godchildren on Sunday, so I may yet get the chance to arrive doing the hair by hedgerow look (desperately needs cutting - it's now well below my shoulders - so I am expecting it will turn into a badly arranged bird's nest).
Nearly freedom time.... Here's to great weekends. :cool:0 -
:jNSD today...well so far anyway!!!:j
Hello all you clever planners - well done and keep us posted on your progress! Found a box of my ex's biking crap under the stairs so I've chucked it all on ebay with 99p starting bid - he'd choke if he knew the whole lot must have cost him in excess of £400 :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Should have taken it if he wanted it :T
Very excited about having my friend over this evening - I'm cooking and she is supplying the wine (my budgets too tight!) Haven't had any wine all week and I've really missed my friend in a glass;):D
Here's to a great weekend one and all :beer:FeeFee

Sarah, just checking but one bottle of wine a week IS a necessity isn't it... I found myself looking at holidays again today - didn't do it though.
Feefee, good on you for selling ex's stuff. I did similar myself but he didn't have anything that good...still must have made about £50 on it.Mortgage OP 2025 £6250/7000Mortgage OP 2024 £7700/7000

I like the fit ball but I have a bad back and I do the exercises on it to strengthen my core and back muscles. Although this is important for good posture and a healthy back it isn't going to make you thinner. It will make you more toned I suppose but really you need to lose the fat first for that to make a difference!!
Also you need to keep it blown up permanently really otherwise it is a real faff inflating it each time so you need to have space for it.
I got mine from decathlon and I'm sure it was pretty cheap although just checked and they have them for £10 at mo so not as cheap as amazon.
For the novelty value check out this bit of kit from Argos:

I saw them at the Ideal Home Show and they are hilarious to watch! And vaguely pornographic.........I've got my own flat :j:j
Now I have to pay the bills
And feed my interiors addiction0
