Gwen.. Hope you start to feel better soon.Did you manage to get anything done in the afternoon to feel like you'd accomplished something?
What does WT stand for? I don't remember. I remember who it is but don't remember what the letters stand for and I'm thinking really nasty words when I read it :o
You'll have to make sure you let us know when you start your diary coz I'm terrible for only finding them when they're pages long and then I never find the time to read them. I think I shall make it my mission next week to catch up on the diaries.
What are the gigs you've planned?

    Hi Bowski

WT is a guy at work that isn't my most favourite person at the moment. He messed me about a fair bit. It is a bit harsh. It's not all his fault - I should never have been so gullible and naive. If only I'd read 'He just isn't that into you...' earlier. He's got a girlfriend now, but the way he's behaved since hasn't been very good. Put it this way, if I discovered my boyfriend was behaving like that behind my back I'd not be too happy and I keep having remind him that it's not really appropriate. That really doesn't help me though, as my faith in men is already at an all time low, without being confronted by somebody who regularly sends inappropriate emails/texts whilst apparently in a serious relationship. I'm a bit worried, I may have been turned off men for life. I really need a fabulous one to turn up, sweep me off my feet (preferably to Venice) and restore my faith in men. A Hugh Jackman lookalike would be nice :D

Anyway, I am feeling a bit better today thanks. I didn't get very much done yesterday after all :( I have sorted some stuff for my new ISA today, sent off for a Wimbledon ballot application form and got new tyres for my car (boring and expensive, but necessary and another job done).

I'm terrible with forgetting to lock/shut things too. I shouldn't really have a car, the number of times I've left it unlocked. The scariest was when I left my front door unlocked with my keys on the other side while I was asleep upstairs all night!!

Holly - Are you around? We need to start matched betting soon!

Right, I'm going to get off. Hello to everybody! Yay, it's Friday!

    Gwenx

    Hi

Must admit I haven't read the rest of the thread but if you want to start matched betting now is a good time as the new football season starts today. If I can help in any way, I will - either in this thread or on the GIOL board or wherever, just let me know where. The GIOL board is full of other people who will be more than willing to help out too. Matched betting isn't for everyone but it can be a good source of extra cash if you are willing to put in the time and effort.

Dan (single but not in debt thanks to several thousand pounds in matched betting profits :))

Thankyou Dan!! That's such a generous offer and one which I will likely take you up on! I really think if I can put my mind to it, I can clear my credit card with it this year and hopefully save some more next year.

Lula - we cheated with the DDs and have a box labelled emergencies which contains a torch, candles, matches and the most archaic phone we could lay our hands on. If the DDs go somewhere that they insist a phone is essntial they are allocated use of the brick complete with 30p credit (came free with the sim card) and the only numbers programmed into the phone are our home and mobile numbers. Not surprisingly they don't insist on a mobile too often and just in case they ever decide to go awol at the same time in oppotise directions the brick has an identical twin.

She'll probably be along shortly. She has some sort of alert set up to tell her when the conversation gets round to brown shoes. ;)

    Did someone mention brown shoes?:D

Hello all. God, what a week I am having. First of all, shortly after googling Dominic West I dropped my laptop on the kitchen floor:mad::mad::mad: Of course it was not insured, had to get a new one, so now my cc has £350 on it:mad::mad::mad: Of course work chose this week to ban all internet access due to people spending too much time on Facebook etc, I will be getting mine reinstated as I do actually need it, I cannot even describe how crashingly dull work is without the internet:mad:

My car is never one to miss out on a spending spree:mad::mad::mad: and had decided to develop a fault which makes it very difficult to drive as that involves being able to see through the steam coming out of the bonnet. Thank goodness the car is equipped with a loud radio, thus enabling me to drown out the hissing noise. It is booked in for next week and will have to go on the cc:mad:

The stress has led to me eating and drinking carp so I dare not even get on the scales.

I still can't find the remote controls for the tv.

Yesterday I made a flask of coffee and shook it to mix the milk, it was being drenched from head to foot in scalding coffee and getting a nice burn on my arm that alerted me to the fact I had forgotten to screw the lid on first.

Thank the lord for Lula's karmic law, it means that I will shortly be the proud owner of some M&S hand luggage. I don't care that I'm not going anywhere, it is shiny and I want it. So there.

I'm sure you know this already but the instructions are here and you can ask questions here - but as I say, I'm more than happy to answer questions in this thread too, or by PM if I'm around.

Careful it doesn't overheat! It could cause major damage to the engine. Might be worth topping up with some water to try to stop the problem getting even more expensive :undecided

    :shocked::shocked::shocked::shocked:

I hope you're not still driving the car in that condition. It sounds like the head gasket has blown or at the very least a coolant hose.

If you use it you're likely to damage the head & that can mean a 4 figure repair bill & could even mean having to replace the engine.
