Me too.:o Am always full of brilliant plans, will take lunch to work, only eat homecooked meals a la Old Style Thread, no takeaways, not use car unless strictly necessary, no wine, no clothes, no shoes etc etc. I will have loads left over at the end of the month to add to savings. Hmmm. Just cannot do it. Too difficult and too boring.
see, this is why I love you ... just like me :A
Have been fishing again, there are loads of men out there & I may have a date on friday .....
will be back later to give more details but wow ladies is it fun fun fun
TDQ - great news on having lovely energetic friend to stay ... Hello Ann :hello:
makeup - atta girl for keeping the shoes & love the idea of a chorus line in the background :rotfl:0 -
Sarah - forgot about the new job possibility. Is it with the same company? How exciting. Let us know what you can about it! Keeping my fingers crossed for you.
Am wearing my new MBT's today but haven't noticed any impressive toning up yet...I think I'm impatient for results! I do feel like I have better posture when wearing them though!
Lula - do tell more about Friday's forthcoming date! How exciting.
I know what you mean about having to spend more on going out and the like when you are single. None of my friends live near me (joys of London) so it is hard to meet at someone's house and have a cheap DVD / wine evening so we always meet up for dinner somewhere. And then maybe the cinema or something.
I keep seeing bargain deals for holidays and minibreaks and it is annoying not having anyone to go with.
Although my ex rang me while I was in Sheringham and when I said I was on my own he said 'why didn't you ask me to come?' - I said I was planning a few more bargain weekends away and I would speak to him then. Not sure this is a good idea though!I've got my own flat :j:j
Now I have to pay the bills
And feed my interiors addiction0 -
Girls, where are you tonight
I've had 2 glasses of wine & that is not good when one is chatting to strange men on dating sites
I know that people do embellish their achievements but wow there are some really attractive & wealthy men out there. These guys are messaging me on the basis of my profile which I think makes me sound really boring & a pic which admittedly does make my assets look huge which I am sure is half the attraction  however, I am really average looking & very very sarcastic. There is one guy there whose picture just makes my knees tremble & he wants to meet to see if there's chemistry  I darent meet him, I'd explode with anticiaption
All my life I have had losers & bad boys & truly believed I could be the one to change them * insert hysterical laughter* & now there seem to be genuine men out there... with proper jobs ,it's like a fairy tale come true.
I feel so out of my depth here... I wouldnt know how to behave with a man who has a proper job, home & money & more to the point, once he got to know me, he wouldnt want me anyway because I am the loser without a proper job, own home or any prospects other than paying off debts.
I feel safe her, it's scary out there0 -

What rot. You have the job you have because it fits in with DD, just like millions of women. Do you really think someone would reject you on that basis? You are in the process of paying off your debts, which are not huge anyway. You have said yourself you will look at changing your job when DD gets to secondary school, so of course you have prospects, but at the moment you have other priorities.
Add to that you are intelligent, funny, kind, a great friend, wise, you have great assets;), huge fun to talk to, and just generally brilliant.:jIf someone wants more than that they are living on another planet and best avoided.

I agree wholeheartedly with sarah
You know how we secretly think we are either A- Really rubbishy people or B- Really great people and why doesn't everyone get that. I think that secretly we all just do what we gotta do with what we have- some get to the higher levels of achieving this, some don't and some get there really slowly.
The job you are, the house you own and the size of your pay py packet doesn't make anyone better than you or me. And i believe that we should treat each other accordingly....
End of sermon:rolleyes:
Now Lula- Get your beautiful butt out there and meet said fab guys with "proper job" etc and enjoy yourself...lief's too short...and if he doesn't want you that's his loss...on you go to meet some other fab guy....
Good luck:DBlessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heavenMatthew 5:30 -

Are you sure you're on POF, Lula???Though no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending0 -
You are so very very fabulous & this is why i will never leave here , never i say .... hic0
-
Are you sure you're on POF, Lula???
Yes, really i am ... it's bizarre & I havent even done a search myself, these are just men who message me.
Of course they're all bullsh!itters but hey
dont get me wrong, there are some right dodgy ones & a fair few slimeballs but it is so flattering to have someone tell you nice things... particularly when as crunk as a skunk :rotfl:0 -

Thnks Hollyberry. I do know that things are not going to change when everything stays the same but I avoided doing anything re jobs as I am reasonably well paid when all goes well and couldn't go for a lesser paying job even if it was something I would really enjoy, as I need the money. However, a job with a payrise is not to be sniffed at.:D
I don't think that it in itself will bring about a huge change immediately but it will allow me to save up for a house much sooner and that will bring about other changes.
More than anything I just need a change and to see that things can be different. If I keep doing the same things I will keep getting the same things. (Can you see I have been at the self help books lately?:D)
