I think OU modules and courses are excellent and the modules I did were far more comprehensive than modules from my degree I already have. They are very expensive though and whilst you can pay monthly, they are still a lot of money and getting a full qualification with them is a serious undertaking financially.

I've now got their courses page open.....you lot are a bad influence on me!!!

    hiya Daggit

The chilli will be fine, just keep checking it for drying out - do you have a slow cooker instead youcould chuck it in?

Rice.........dodgy stuff. You have to keep rice hot rather than warm or let it cool down completely. However, for an hour, it will be fine (officially it shouldn't be done, but I've kept rice warm for that amount of time before and never been unwell.). It could dry out so maybe add a small amount of water into the cooked rice before you put the lid on.

Thanks BB, I do have a slow cooker which I was going to make mushroom soup in but will make that the day before and heat up on the cooker so SC free for the chilli.

    ta muchly:D

cheers squizz and bookie - not that it means any change to my pay, but it's nice to know I'm doing it all ok. Onto having an observation then at some point as a fully fledged tutor!
