Bookie - i want decking!! i'm jealous of yours, although it does sound like a bit of upkeep......

It's not every year. Quite low maintainance really - and dries so fast after rain.
I have just hosed down the non-decked patio bit only to find it had no drainage! Der!

    for personal things?

    or real gardens?

My OH is a greenkeeper, he keeps his workplace grass in tip top condition, not sure i'd let him tend to mine though!! [strike]Come to think of it, i have done but it's a buggger when it grows back![/strike]

    :rotfl: :rotfl:

You could get him a really small lawnmower :rotfl:

I just read this bit of Bookie's post as if she was talking about THAT sort of 'gardening':rotfl:

I'm really going home now, honest.... xx

I have mine waxed regularly BB and the girl at the salon where I go is a large black lady-not orange by any stretch of the imagination!

It hurts-I wont pretend otherwise but its better than the horrific rash I get from shaving which hurtsna d itches for days. My advice is to go in the middle of your cycle, take a painkiller before you go in and just DO IT! It looks much nicer ;)

All this talk of tending to our lady gardens, I'm going to have to get the hedge clippers out later and tackle mine, might do it like one of the neatly mowed lawns with the striped effect;)

pity we don't have a large lady (of any shade of black, orange or purple!) as a learner, I'd be half tempted to go and try some kind of beauty treatment - starting with legs!! Everyone I see is about 19, skinny etc. I don't normally have any itching etc after shaving, but be honest, as nobody has any 'use' for 'that' area, I guess it doesn't matter how nice it looks.........

I'm back, have been doing housework, washing, pegging out, watched the new dvd that I bought today (The Duchess - very good) and been sat out in the garden enjoying a latte and the sunshine.

It's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.

Is it better to aim for the stars and hit a tree or aim for a tree and land in its branches
