There the main shopping, like M&S and all that, but if the MSE's want a bit of bargain shopping try Bond Street- there's a great fabric shop for those who like making curtains etc, as well as clothing (plus, if its still there a pretty cool 18+ shop...!)
Obviously Wetherspoons is a good old favourite with MSE, but all the pubs are much of a muchness (although bare in mind, if it looks dodgy it probably is! Keep away from any pubs within a couple of 100 yard from Winter Gardens, they are as rough as a badgers!) Mamma's is a great Italian restaurant (Near Syndicate nightclub) although I'm not sure on price-if they have an earlybird menu it might be quite reasonable. A couple of courses for £7 or something like that?
All the bars have drinks promo's, but be warned the Tower Lounge, although blaring with music at 3pm in the afternoon and looking like a 'fun place' is full of stag/hen do's, as well as a well known prostitute haunt. (Be warned if you're getting chatted up in there, it might cost you more than half a lager!!!)
Also, if you're going to stay out late, get in a bar before 10.30pm and stay there or you could end up paying entry fee's at £5 each! If you want to go to a club, go on their website and try and get some VIP/free passes in advance (Try Sanuk, Syndicate)
Have fun!! (Don't think there are any decent chippies!!! lol)0 -
re eateries : slightly out of the town centre (the next village along really; but less than £1 on the tram there is a village called Bispham, if you get off the the tram there , there is achippy/restauarant called bispham kitchens the fish is glorious and the chips aren't bad either, the beauty is that a portion of chips is only 50p or it was the last time we were there.0

Has anyone any plans yet for either the Friday or the Saturday? By plans I mean outings and eating.0 -
AFAIK - there are only OSers at the hotel, but as I believe he only had 2 free rooms left, then there won't be manu non-OSers. If we do meet any, maybe we could convert them :rotfl:
Nels - if you are coming up on Friday night, I'm assuming squeaky and Racyred will be there for the two nights too?
I'm off to phone the hotel to book my room for the Friday as well. :j I've informed Mr TM who pulled a face cos it means he has to rearrange his usual Friday evening0 -

DH works weekends, and we have no-one to mind the children. Ever. Could do with a good ole pizz up, haven't had one for almost three years,
Have a great weekend, and think of me at home with my stardrops, and microfibre cloths with the slow cooker simmering away in the background!:rotfl: :sad:Trying to tidy and clean while the kids are still growing, is like trying to clear snow even though it's still snowing
