Nice one david - good to hear things are starting to move for you. it's amazing once people discover what your talents are. Often it's a case of someone knowing someone and before you know it your'e off!

Speaking of "off" our electricity just went off for 20 mins or so. My afternoon time is so precious that even 20 mins without the computer has really mucked me up. I can't get into the flow of my writing now and feel all out of sorts. To make it worse my office is in the loft with no natural light. So it went pitch black in here and shook the life out of me!

Cheese cake sounds delish. If only I could justify the calories - even a 60min run wouldn't burn that lot off!!

Hi everyone! Can I join in? I've just chanced upon this thread and have been reading through a few of your posts. I work from home as a freelance writer and am going through a bit of a bad patch in terms of getting work so this thread looks like a great place to give and receive some support!

    Welcome Dippy

David...one thing that I have discovered that when you set up in business you are never 100% ready:rolleyes: Handing out cards at work is a good idea as sometimes its not what you know but you who know that gets you the work...I am still cultivating the who you know people:rolleyes:

Well done David!!!! Things are beginning to turn to work in your favour now - its a scary step but i have everything crossed for you

Megs, make the low cal version of the cheesecake and have a sliver of it! You know you want to!

Horace - the last time I had a cold i was convinced that it was "man flu" you know the worst kind you can ever get? So much worse than anyone else has ever had? I took to the hot whiskey at night and slept like a baby!

Dippykitty - welcome, this thread is the best thing I've come across as the people on here do not make me feel like an idiot!

Have had 2 good days here this week but I have alot of hasselling phone calls to make to suppliers who are letting me down with not fulfilling orders or sending wrong things. I hate those type of calls because I am a nice girl and hate bad feeling - i remember an earlier posting here about starsigns and I am the typical Libra!

Have fun everyone - make the cheesecake!!!!!!!!!

    Hi all.

Just had a weird call from the chamber of commerce - they sent me a form to complete (using a name for my business that I had first thought of but now dont use), they are sending me another form and told me that I must complete it and return it. The reason for that is that they can claim some money from business link and when I have a transaction go through my bank from a customer (there is only job grant money in there at the mo) then they will give me £100:j

Am trying to make sense of the NI CF10 form at the mo:rolleyes:

Not feeling fluey just sore..sore throat and gullet still..maybe some ice cream will do the trick? Last night it was hot blackcurrant followed by a nice warm bed as I put my leccy blanket on:rolleyes:
