    Happy birthdays to everyone!!!

Had a lovely weekend myself too. Went to Oakley Hall for afternoon tea with my MIL on sat. She had organised some sort of discount and invited me along. Loads of food. Sandwiches, scones and cream and cakes too. We couldn't eat it all but asked for a doggy bag! They didn't seem to mind. it is av ery posh place and was really lovely. We had a really nice chat too. A friend of mine is getting married there next year too.

Sunday, hubby and i didn't get out of bed till after lunch. Poor kids - they are old enough to sort their own breakfasts out, but I think they were concerned they wouldn't get lunch! Once we got up we went to the local farm shop and buth some fresh meat - pheasant....I will leave that to the husband to cook I think!

Today i have written, 4 articles and 4 days worth of news....I feel like i have finally acheived something. I can now send off a invoice for £200. Also had an old client contact me as she needs a regualr newsletter and press releases done. Things are on the up!

Hi everyone, not been about for a few days as i decided to do some work! Ha! The OH has not been in too bad form, although there is a full moon this week so i am not holding out much hope!

Mrs Tine, I had wanted to go to the good food show and I'm now glad i didn't book the plane! I am going to Dublin on Friday night to see Top Gear live so am looking forward to that. Its a bit expensive but it is OH's DS birthday and because we don't have him at Christmas we make a bit of extra fuss on birthdays.

Naij, things are slow coming from anywhere at the minute, but be careful with imports - i don't think you have any comeback on the stuff if it goes wrong, as far as i can see you are liable, if you inspected the quality of the samples. I could import from the far east but can't be bothered with the hassle.

Horace, glad you had a good birthday - i haven't seen my ex husband since i divorced him - i can't imagine me looking after him if he was sick!
Well done Megs on the talented children!! I'm sure that you are as proud of punch.

Off to do some more work, was very good at the weekend and only had 1 glass of wine.
    Have fun
    T xx

I have been naughty today - I plonked myself in front of the tv at around 12.30 and did shift my bum til 5pm:eek:

Tomorrow I have a breakfast meeting so must remember to take those tubes of toothpaste and I am meeting with the chappie who wants 3 seminars about divorce:cool: Then I am off to the hairdressers to have my hair cut and coloured and the dreaded grey has put in an appearance again:mad: Thankfully the hairdressers have extended their colour sale for another week:cool:

Today I feel thoroughly lazy - I am also hoping that I am not coming down with gastric flu:eek:

oooh must remember to suggest somone to snow - they make jotters out of old books..very into the reuse and recycle https://www.ontherebound.co.uk
  • :santa2: Hi Folks !! ... (I can do that now, as it is officially December !! :p )

Happy belated wishes, and ((hugs)) to those still under the weather & feeling out of sorts. :heartsmil

My head is spinning, I have been scheduling & re-scheduling & more re-scheduling the last 3 days solid (and working!!) I have got 55 bookings & 35 pre-visits to do between now and the 18th December  For once I hope no more of these turn up needing done during that time - as I just physically can not fit any more in

With 4 more in so far for the Xmas run up week and already 9 bookings for the 1st week of January :o I think there is also a couple of regular bookings that may need to be done inbetween that, but awaiting confirmation on them. (where's one of those smilies with the eyes going googly in circles when you need one ??)

Hence you may not see very much of me for a wee while, not only with the heavy schedule - but I then have all my reports, paperwork, photographs & things to write up & send in. _pale_

Hope things stay well with you all !

    G:A xx

Hi everyone, had a good day yesterday. Picked up some extra work and have some good ideas for some markets for some articles I wrote along while ago. they will need rewriting but it shouldn't take too long.
Today has been a little frustrating. I missed loads of emails as my email box was full and outlook never warned me....
I also have found out that our local village hall is planning on running a weekly craft fair from next Feb. I am hoping to sell my knitted hats, bags, scarfs, blankets and toys. I also sew bags as well. What do you think. Should I buy items to sell as well? To be fair it wuldn't be my main source of income but i knit everyday and end up giving it all away or even unravelling it and starting again just for fun...so why let all that time go to waste?
If anyone lives in this area (basingstoke) and wants details of the fairs PM me and I can pass on a number. I think they want local crafts and produce so that means hampshire and berkshire.

Any excuse to get out the knitting needles!

    Hi all

JP - re the outlaws..don't see them on Saturday and if they turn up to the fair and they start giving you hassle then call security and have them removed. Somehow I dont think that they will go to the fair they just want to see your reaction and I know its hard but try and dismiss them from your mind as people of little consequence and are not worth your energy or your time.

Missed Apprentice USA last night as the tv froze on me and I couldnt get the channel back:mad: - why did it have to freeze in the good bit?

Walked 2 miles to the breakfast meeting this morning and 2 miles back - confirmed the new venue which is 100% warmer than the sh1thole we visit now. Met the rudest man imaginable and how he thinks that I will even bother with ISO9000 through him I have no idea..he had the nerve to say that my business name sounds like a mental illness so me being me turned around and said that I was suffering from a mental illness when I picked the name (its true I was suffering from stress & anxiety), I then asked if he ever did Latin at school...the man was really rude and moaned loudly and at length when his breakfast didnt arrive on time:rolleyes: His business cards have his photo on them - great I shall stick it to the wall and throw darts at it, it will give me something to aim for.:rotfl:

Best get a wriggle on I guess..loo and then head off to the hairdressers..another 1 mile walk:cool:

oh no horace sorry to hear of your nightmare meeting, was that at a 4N breakfast? cant you stop him coming back?

i just feel if i dont go on saturday im forcing another argument and then the next time ill see them is christmas wich could be worse than doing it at weekend, im back at the doctors on friday though to see how im getting on so will see what happens there as well, cant believe my sister in law that supposedly hates them as well is the one that went telling him everything i said on facebook, so alot of bridges to cross, or let be burned i dont know, just wake up every morning with a rush of fear that i cant help.

going to email ambulance mans wife later with johns help and see what we can do from there then get some stock ready for sunday, im so excited about it, hoping for a sell out then ive enough for christmas lol.
back to comping in 2017, fingers crossed

It was a 4N breakfast JP - thankfully he was only a visitor so I doubt that he'll be back. Good luck with the outlaws too..and good luck for the fair..I am sure you will do well.

I am feeling a little cold in the neck department today..I went to the hairdressers and had my hair cut only I was a bit more daring and went really short at the back..graduated bob..she got the razor out too:eek: Why do I always decide that I want to go short when the weather is cold?

I got home at around 3.45pm - walked up to Aldi and then walked home again..had a very late lunch. Found some fabby ham in Aldi - Italian ham with rosemary and one with basil..although their ham seems a bit wetter than our ham. I also managed to get a bag of toblerone minis for my chum who loves them. I am off to the quack's first thing..need more dizzy tablets and more steroid eye drops as I have run out thanks to the nincompoop who wrote my previous prescription:mad:
