Horace - don't start me on the to divorce or not to divorce!!! I too think that next year will be your year, i think the first few years of self employment are complete whoopie doo doo working every available hour to earn a pittance of a salary, endless running and promoting, every waking hour spent wondering what the chuffing heck its all about.

It gets better... then worse.... i am hoping that it will get better again!!!!

I don't know if it's something in the water but I'm feeling really positive about work and finances at the moment. This time last year I was about to have a big op and had 3 months off work. I reckon 2010 will be a great year for us all xx

TCM it is heartening to know that the first year of self employment is a load of poo..I hope it gets better, well I must have been motivated this evening as I have started typing up my 3rd assignment (although it is numbered 4 as I can't be bothered with assignment 3 right now - its designing a form:rolleyes:)

evening all, just got back from my craft fair and it didnt go to well, i oly made £40 today, when others doing the smae have been making £100 a day, sold out of the things people didnt thing i would sell but thats all. but at least im not worried for thursday now, just have to make some more novety loo rolls up.
When we were setting up the other stall holders said id do really well but in the end no one seemed to make anything, just one of those days i think

Sometimes its like that JP - I don't why though. I once did a carboot - hot sun tons of people there and was lucky to make £20 but I did a different bootfair on another day in the pouring rain and made around £50 - its odd.

Sometimes you end up selling the things that you thought you couldnt sell and yet the stuff that you thought you would have no trouble selling didnt.

Good luck for the next fair and the novelty loo rolls.

I spent part of today getting stressed over this stupid divorce seminar - loads of people pushing themselves forward and I feel as though its a case of don't use her..use madam x because she has organised our christmas party for the last 3 years:mad: I know its stupid..but that's how I feel and I feel more determined to do a better job and wipe the smirk off their faces:D Oh and I am part way through the assignment..it will be a long one as I am going into detail but hope to get another A.

oh hun hope they see sense and use you, you'll be amazing for them, dont let others bring you down do what you say and do the job better than anyone else could. we all know your great.

JP I have done fairs and some dont generate anything on the day but come back to me months after - just make sure EVERYONE is given something with your web address on so they can purchase after the fair has ended.

Megs- I may need to take you up on that offer as not sure if our MD' are doing some of the work or not- will you PM me and let me know what you charge?

I think we should all aim for 2010 too be "the one" I really need to get things going - I feel like I have so much to do but just not enough time to get it all done before 2010!!

Does anyone have any good contacts for companies that have rewards for staff or travel clubs?? We have brought out a great scheme I just need contacts now -all help appreciated. x

morning all, just had a phone meeting wih someone from 4N and that went really well, shes giving me free multi media advice and publicity in her ebook for agreeing to be a case study for her on how things work, all i have to do is make some videos for you tube showing the stories of my tiaras and how multimedia marketing can work and she will include me in the book. Seemed like a good deal for me, anything to get people to see my tiaras.
Things are going really well at the moment now just to get the orders in.

JP - over on 4N on the can you help section..there is a thread that has been started that points you in the direction of the 4community pages (you will need to follow the link from the Can you Help section to the page in question), it has been set up for event suppliers and I was thinking that you could put your balloons and your favours there:D

Its another busy day for me hitting the phones..trying to find sponsors for this fun run..I shall be hitting the email too as I want to contact the company that make the soles for military boots (my mind works in devious little ways:rotfl:).

It shall be a busy week - Wednesday morning I have an appointment at the Council House for a personal viewing of the banquetting suite and the museum & art gallery:D Then on Friday, I shall disappear for a long weekend - off to stay with ex husband (no funny business at all so get your minds out of the gutter), then its off to see my parents and sort out crimble. I try and have crimble with ex as I dont like the thought of him being on his own.
