horace just a thought but when my husband and i have run races you usually get a bottle of water or lucozade rather than a smoothie so it may be usefull to try some of these people to get some freebies, i know in the militery powerade are very good, and for goodness shakes. just trying to use husbands knowledge to help you out abit sorry.

for goodness shakes is my goodness limited, london, sw18 4lz hope it helps somehow, he just said lucozade sponser alot of uk events so well worth contacting

travellady - if you are wanting some content written you know where I am....:)

Ditto on the goodness shakes. I have them after my runs as they are packed full of protein. Thye are quite expensive tho at more than £1 a bottle so not sure if they will be willing to give them away.

I am really busy today. Writing this horrible article which is really boring. i have already been on the phone to insurance press offices around the country trying to get information. they are really cagey when they know they are talking to a journalist. Not my fault...i am just doing my job!

I am off visiting family tomorrow which will be nice. Not my family of course (that would involve a 27 hour flight to NZ!)but the OH's.

I am having another crises of confidence at the moment. I am concerned I am working too hard for too little money. I am sure it is the case but even if i pitch myself at a higher level there are always other people willing to work for less.

I do waste time throughout my day though. maybe i need to work smarter, not harder!

afternoon all, im havig a productive morning so far, i ave to ideas for tv channels that i know would work, been looking around te internet and its hard to get ideas taken on, asked on 4neworking and i have to ring someone this afternoon that is going to put me in touch with someone whos workied in hollywood, how exciting, lol so i may get my channels to take of, ones in music and ones in weddings so fingers crossed.

I was telling OH last night and he laughed, he says i should already be rich as it was only the other week i was saying as i kid i dreamed of being able to pause tv when people where to loud and now we have boxes that do that, i thought eveyone wished that but he said he didnt he just got on with it, so if id been a few years earlier with my confidence and not listened to people i may have invented all these boxes lol

Hi all...well done Travellady on your award.

Innocent smoothies - if they come up trumps will just be an additional thing inside the goody bag, getting water or sports drinks is particularly tricky at the moment but I shall keep plugging away. I am after some shower gel and will be writing to cussons to see if they will give us some original source. Have also asked a big insurance company to sponsor the insurance too. The guy organising the run has now been asked to do another run at Kemble Airfield - a PR company is already involved in organising that one which I am quite relieved about as doing Swindon is bad enough.

More news..it was mentioned on 4networking today that an event organiser was required, anyway the guy had already contacted me as I know him quite well now..so it could be me organising 3 seminars on divorce or not to divorce to be held in Stratford, Broadway and at Studley Castle during January/February - 40 guests at each event and buffet with wine at all 3. So I need to look for venues for Stratford & Broadway and get my negotiating hat on with Studley Castle.

I think that 2010 is going to be my year..I am fed up of being skint and trying to live on the smallest budget possible - shopping from the whoopsie shelf can be good but I don't want to live on the whoopsie shelf if you know what I mean.

Star - well done on your vouchers, Megs, everything will come together keep at it..if you get bored go and do something else and then come back to it with a clearer mind.

well done on all your events horace, im convinced next year will be your year to, you are doing really well at the moment i hope it continues for you. i thought of you when i saw the thread for the event organiser and just as i was about to recomend you i saw you had already posted.

things are going well at the moment for me to, spoke to one person today who has alot of contacts thats has given me some ideas on how to make one thing work so that a channel can not pinch my idea and she is also going to give me a free multimrdia marketing review at some point wich will be very beneficial and also something i had never thought of. just waiting for john to get home then i can ring someone else to see about getting my music thing to take of. so im very excited, anyone i speak to about my ideas is very ecited by them so i know ive found something its now just making it happen without losing it to someone else wich is hard when im only 1 little person in the grand scheme of things

They're a friendly and helpful bunch on 4N. I just read on the Events Organiser wanted that they are going to go with me, it helps that I know the chap quite well now and he has told people that he is doing research with me:D Thanks for the address of Goodness Shakes - I shall write to them - they may be a £1 a bottle in the shops but I bet they don't cost that much to make probably about 50p:D

JP - good luck with your project and your media review:D

things are going great i cant believe how far things have come today, a chance post on 4networking means a christian person has come along loves my ideas wants to sign soe paperwork to get me the funding and work with someone whos worked with steven speilberg to get my channels aired. I cant believe it its all so exciting, I know im emphasinsing the blioke being a christian but my family is to and it was a comment about a dvd that brought it out.
I cant believe how far today has come, and that what seemed like a mad suggestion last night is coming through for us. what a great day

JP this is very intriguing. Keep us updated on how it goes. I understand that you don't want to let the cat out of the bag though. Will they be christian based channels? It seems like a good market (not my cup of tea though!). But it is easier to do something if you feel like it is important in a personal sense too. I guess if this bloke you are working with is like minded then it makes things easier.
Well done on getting moving on something in such a short amount of time - what a go-getter!
I have sent off an article idea today to a local magazine. this is the first time I have approached a amagazine in this way. I hope I get a result. I am hoping to do a peice on the WI who have just started in my area. I have always been fascinated by the idea of women meeting up in this way - it seems so quaint. but as a NZer we have nothing like this in my country. I want to know what they do and what they have planned for our area. Is it just another form of networking? I hope they are interested. I have other local magazines who I might be able to pitch to if I have no luck.
