    Well done Star!
  • I rang the station at the right time for a competition and some how my call was the one that they picked to go on air. I had to answer 3 qs about Christmas and for everyone I got right I got £100 of shopping vouchers. Annoyingly I got what my love gave me for the 8th day of Christmas wrong, I know the earlier ones well but not the later ones :(

Will come in handy for presents :)

afternoon all, im worried today i had a check so bought husbands christmas present knowing even with my overdraft i could buy the rest i needed for the weekend, but now something has gone out later than expected and im worried things will start bouncing, although they arent bills they are the shops so hopefully they will go out and ill have to sort stuff, i tried to extend my overdraft to £200 so i had some leway and they said my credit ratings to poor even though my overdraft is all i have, plus 12 months ago they had it set at £1100 without asking me so i reduced it and now they wont help me, how stupid. grrrrrr, having a pretty poor day something blew all the elctrics for anyone that turned their lights on at 8.15 on camp this morning.
but on the plus its only 2 days to my first fir and im nearly done, got to make my pots o'gold tonight and my sweetie trees and im done and ill have about £1000 of stock be great if i can sell it ll and hopefully get some tiara orders on top of that.
just panicking and i dont know why just have to forget ive got a bank account for a few weeks and ill be sorted again. i just wish things would go out of the bank straight away and not a week later.
hope everyone else is having a good day, sorry im ranting again.

Well done Star..the vouchers will come in handy for Christmas.

JP..sorry about the electrics..take a deep breath your fair will be fine. As for the bank..well least said about them the better, I wonder if its worth moving your account?

I have had one of those days today..lots done but nothing to show for it. I have been glued to skype and the email and was even called by a company called Spamly because they have been spamming my inbox so they explained why so I told them that their name was offputting and as soon as people see the word spam that they delete the emails. Funny thing is they are saying that everyone has a free listing and gets free leads from them but they are only able to take up 5 leads a year:rolleyes: Spamly is apparenly a play on words and means friendly spam:rolleyes:

I need to send an email to the nice people at Innocent Smoothies in the hope that they will give me 1500 bottles of smoothie, I also need to write to Cussons to see if they will give me 1500 showergel samples - all for the charity event that I am helping to organise. I need to contact a few insurance companies to see if they will cover the insurance for us for free in exchange for some marketing opportunities. I also need to get in touch with Cadburys and Mars and maybe Simple to get samples from them too. So that's all the charity stuff and then there's the band stuff as well. I was supposed to go and do some shopping today but have run out of time and I need to go to the postbox but can't be bothered to walk down the road to it:rolleyes:

Oh and I did something really mad the other night - I turned on the wrong hotplate on the hob and then I noticed this odd smell and the bag of bread starting to smoke:eek: I have been trying to get melted plastic off the hotplate without success:mad:

Hi everyone - I am soaked to the bone. Literally. And my hair has gone curly with the rain.

JP, I absolutely detest banks - they want everything on their terms, i changed accounts recently and have had nothing but hassle. In the end i am still letting my visa sales go into the old account directly and i use the 2 accounts. The new place won't give the business an overdraft because a cheque i wrote bounced because they had not put a lodgement through!!! I was penalised for their mistake! Don't panic about the fair, it will be great, and come the start of next week you will wonder what you were worrying about!

Horace, i wish i had your guts to ask for free stuff. I had the reps in with the winter coats today and i was shocked when they offered me one free to wear in the shop! I also had an idiot in who tried to sell me advertising space for £99 in a brochure that i had to give a discount coupon as an advert - these were going to be distributed free to local homes, but i have yet to come across a house in the town with a pony camped in the sitting room! I did not say it as bluntly as that however i did raise my eyebrows slightly at him!
Don't have any tips unfortunatley to get burnt toast and plastic off the hob! I made a casserole from one of your magazines last night and it was delicious. Chineese tonight though as this is my late night in here.

I think we all should grow webbed feet and swim along the roads. We'd all get there easier!

JP - hugs regarding the finances! It can be a nightmare. I'm really having to watch the pennies this month. Saying that....when I was walking my dog this morning another dog walker asked what I did for a living. When I told her she asked if I could fit her in today. I told her she was lucky that I'd had a cancellation (lies!!!) and when she came she ordered £30 worth of vouchers. So, that's helped as I had to buy stuff for DS to make cakes for a sale tomorrow and I needed something for tea tonight. I need to continue with my mantra.....money is coming easily to me, money is coming easily to me!!!!

Horace - good luck getting the freebies....do you have to store it all once you get it? Have you thought of trying dove as they often hand out freebies at events I've been too. What about ocean spray .... I've often had the little cartons of juice from them too. Nivea and then a cereal bar company are the others that spring to mind.

Right, must make tea and help ice 48 cakes! xx
  • Well done Star! Could do with some vouchers myself!

I am absolutely knackered after London World Travel market and our Egypt conference - but so happy as we won our first travel award!!! Royal caribbean Top Hays Member!! must say I certainly celebrated in style and am still recovering. First award of many I am hoping!

I managed to get some promise of funding for my honeymoon and wedding magazine so just have to now put the wheels in motion and get some great content to keep the brides attention.
