  • Morning people

Been quite busy myself too recently (good and bad- got loads of other things I need to get done which I dont have time for!)
Also been ill :( *tries not to spread germs on the board*

And last nite I went really dizzy and I still am a bit. It's difficult to try and concentrate on typing and translating when your head feels like its constantly moving!!

Trust Horace to pull at the airport!

afternoon all, had a good cry last night whe i discovered we have no money at all for the month but have a fresh perspective this morning.
Foud out my tennant has wrecked the house on leaving it so as much as she loses the bond i wont see any of it as the rental company are fixing the house for us, so there went my lifeline, but we are allowed to take mortgage breaks and with christmas coming up and no tennant we decided this was the way to go, i dont like doing it but it just takes the stress of for ow, hopefully i can get my business going in that time and be able to start making overpayments in the new year wich will be good, I hate taking breaks but its a stress i dont need and like i say hopefully we will have a tennant in when all the jobs are doe and get an easy life for once.
what does everyone else think? hope everyone else is having a good day
back to comping in 2017, fingers crossed

    Hiya to you all

Good on you Horace going to the airport....i'm impressed!

JPW - I hope the balloon course is fab and your little one is much better soon. Hugs to you xx

MM - here's to things picking up very soon on your website. I had an email I could have done without - someone asking me if I offered 'discreet extras' with massage. Funnily enough i've not replied - I may be quiet this week but i'm not desperate!

So, we can now add a knocking shop to our collective repertoire!!!

JP - you will enjoy the balloon course - I did one once and have a bag of balloons and a pump and all I can make is a dodgy looking dog:rotfl:

Muddy - discreet extras..I would reply and say that you can play the spoons whilst singing the hallulajah chorus when you are gargling with TCP:rotfl:

I am back from a breakfast network meeting with 4Networking - I joined too and managed to get 13 months membership for the price of 12 plus I picked the passport membership which means that I can go to any 4N breakfast meeting in the country. I came away with some good contacts and have even been offered a free hypnotherapy session this Friday to enable me to have the confidence to talk to people without feeling like a lemon. My next meeting is on 3 November and I have some homework to prepare which means that I must go and buy some hubba bubba bubblegum and get practising as we are having a bubble gum powder plot with bubble gum and sherbert dipdaps - who said networking was boring?:rotfl:

I had a call this morning from Kemps Publishing who publish the Chamber of Commerce Business Directory and I said that I didnt want to be in it as I won't be renewing my membership - I havent got anything out of it so I refuse to spend money for nothing.

As for meeting Steve...well watch this space;) S'pose I had better think about having some lunch..or wait til 13.45 for my daily fix of Neighbours:rotfl:

Oh and I have my little oil filled radiator on which is heating my tiny office a treat.
  • hello again everyone
havent been on here for a while but been looking in at the serious and the funny posts!
    just an update with me
believe it or not im still in that crummy 'temp' job i told you about but they announced last week they are closing the place down 1st week of january.
so another kick up my backside to get things going more
i recently did an 'office' job, which was both scary and fun, my 1st onsite massaging.
5 people came for a treatment while i was there, so was happy and dissapointed at same time but once i got going and more relaxed i wished i had tried harder to do this more.
so will be doing just that and probably looking for a part time job to balance things out.

horace, i had been looking at the networking thingy as well, and it looks good, so might do that myself here in mk in the new year

sorry for waffling on hope everyone is well and lets all keep positive

David - it sounds as though your business is picking up. Re the networking, I would avoid BNI because they only allow one business type so you won't find another masseur or holistic therapist. 4 Networking is great and what is good about them, you can use their forum for free https://www.4networking.biz - also you can go to 3 breakfast meetings before you decide to join. You book and pay £10 for breakfast - you get a good breakfast too and in some areas (e.g. Walsall) they have chips for breakfast:rotfl: There is no elitest in 4Networking either which makes them better than BNI plus you are not under pressure to make referrals which is what happens in BNI.

thanks for quick reply and advice horace. as has been said before you're a star!
chips for brekkie, yum sounds good to me
things are really slow but thats just down to me and no one else this time, but like ive said before stuck in day job sometimes the last thing you want to do is go out and do more work, which is stupid i know, because i dont want to do the day job!!!
the website will have to stay as it is as well, as couldnt get any reply from the bloke that moved up north who did the site! im leaving it for now and will use up buisness cards and flyers then maybe change the name altogether
will look into the networking in month or so, in the meantime il get of this bum of mine and get out there and do it instead of always thinking about it
    thanks again

JPW, hugs & hugs & more hugs... hope things will look up for you soon, we're all thinking about you.

I am mightly impressed with your "pulling" skills Horace! How lovely to be waiting for him at the airport - you were obviously loved up to get on the wrong train! Its like one of those old black & white movies!!!!!!!!!

David P, i think things are generally quieter all over, its not just you.

Today I have "man flu" and being a woman I, like all women do, am putting on a brave but somewhat snuffly face and soldiering on. I cannot breathe, smell or hear. The box of biscuits a customer left me is half empty and I did not taste one of them (although I did have to sample each one until I was sure!) I also was very good and fixed 9 or 10 rugs. I now can't be a%*"! to do anymore!

(((hugs))) JPW. Hope you feel better soon TCM

I've had a hellish day! Been on the phone chasing up parcels and deliveries and apparently the last lot of samples that were sent have gone missing due to the postal strike so I now have to do them again *sigh*. US Customs have been chasing me all day too they scare the life out of me!

Some clients are finally starting to wake up and start ordering for their next season. Found out today that one of our tailors is going to use our cloth in his new collection for Harrods wooo!! so exciting.

ok enough rambling, must get back to it.

thaks for all your concern peeps, my days finally started picking up, i have and £8 order for some reindeer food and sweetie chrtistmas trees and a possible order for 5 sweetie trees wich will be £17.50 if i get that order, shes coming lookig at them on friday to decide if she wants me to make them for her, so im so excited and thats before ive got to my christmas fairs, so fingers crossed that they will sell as well there.
mortgage holiday is sorted and ill overpay to make it up again especially when my work kicks of, and christmas might just be a bit less stressful, although if you heard our story last year nothing will ever be so stressful. cant believe i have orders, now to get stuff made insurance sorted and find a cheap little generator( another reason i need a mortgage break lol), and im finally sorted.

purple roses, exciting news about your material in harrods
