Have got the video ripping sorted out.
have used a program called DVD decrypter and then PSP video 9.
just the job. both are freeware readily available through a google search, also some very helpful how to guides with screen dumps and all that jazz.
intensive so you'll need a good powerfull machine to do it though.0 -
Is there a way to remove the time display when playing videos ?
On mine, the time display is always on screen.0 -
Hi all
Has anyone else had any problems playing music files? I've tried to load lots of tracks that have been ripped from CDs and none of them are playing. They're all in the audio folder and I just dragged and dropped them into the folder as the manual says.
When i had a look at the files on my computer, they all say Protected Content but this seems to be the case with any music I rip from a CD. Any idea how to get around this? Also, will this player play any music bought from iTunes etc?
Thanks!!0 -

I have both of these but am still completely stuck even using the screen dumps. I have managed to rip the dvd (I think) but psp9 just keeps telling me there's no psp connected and doesn't do anything with the files I have. I am really struggling with these, i bought 2 and all I wanted was to put some cartoons on them to keep the kids quiet in the car. i am rapidly reaching the point of taking them back to dixons and buying an in car dvd instead!
Have tried various forums suggested and still just don't understand what to do.
Is there anyone out there who can give me a step by step idiots guide to taking some cartoons from a dvd and copying them onto this device? Please.......0 -
I got mine from Currys in Barnsley today after speaking to a lovely man who checked the stock and said they had at least 10, he also mentioned he had had a lot of calls asking about it, I wonder who from?
I had to ask for it as its not out on display anywhere. I also had to ask for the case and leads as they didn't have a clue what came with it.
They offered me the warranty at £10 but I had already read on here that someone had got it cheaper so I asked for a discount and he let me have it for £5!

Popped into Dixons in Brent Cross (north london shopping centre).. they had one on display. I've got to say, the screen is only the size as on my phone.. how is it for watching an entire movie on?0

IMHO...Quality of picture and playback is better than you'd expect from a fairly small screen. I'm really pleased I bought one and think it's an excellent bargain. It plays many types of video files without modification...I also can record from my domestic DVD recorder and then drag and drop recorded programmes straight from the disc to the Genus unit.0

Hi
I picked up 1 on the weekend. I didnt get any video leads or leather case with it. When I asked if they came with it, the lady said 'that I was pushing it considering I got it for £50 - and not £150!)
Should I have got the extras?0 -
yes. Still a bargain though!"If a man says something, but there is no woman to hear him, is he still wrong?"0

Has anyone connected the player up to a television? How does the picture quality hold up on a bigger screen?0
