She has beautiful unlined skin, with not a wrinkle in sight :rolleyes: Ooooooh perhaps she tried it somewhere concealed :rotfl:
I've had a good productive day, and even dusted the cobwebs off the steam cleaner:o:o Tomorrow I might even use it:rotfl: No, joking aside, I did the bathroom top to bottom, and it sparkles. If DH thinks he's washing himself in there he can forget it. There's a hose outside...............:p

Churchie - have you ever considered getting glasses????? Only joking Pink!!
Betheebee, I'm sorry to hear your news. Life isn't fair at all.

Go on, start a rumour, why don't you?:rotfl::rotfl: You know what this lot are like:rolleyes::rolleyes: I'd like to state, for the record, that I have not the faintest idea whether or not Pink has a wrinkly bottom:D:D No matter what she says, she does not have a single wrinkle on her face:p:p How big is the sample? About a gallon and a half should help my face:D:D
Beth, never ever feel bad about celebrating and enjoying new life. Your granddaughter is all our future, and to be cherished because of that. But ((hugs)) in your other sadness. You never get a second chance to make a first impression.0 -
Maybe its because I don't bake regularly I seem to go in fits and starts - its the same if I buy in some goodies (viennese whirls spring to mind) the 'boys' are like locusts a pack of 6 lasts about 5 minutes - it might be a case of 'get it quick while its there'.
I do like the idea of batch cooking - unfortunately the freezer is broken and space is very limited in the kitchen due to ongoing building work (3 years and counting).
However I suppose it could be worse - what comes out of the oven could be that bad the only place for it is the bin (been known to happen with some new recipes).0 -
I always take the view that the faster my baking disappears the better it must taste. So take it as a compliment!
You could try freezing the unbaked dough though to save you a bit of time and hassle on those days when you really havent got the time or the inclination to make your own

I have exactly the same thing go on here!! As soon as I bake something the kids & DH hoover it up - less than an hour in some cases lol! I've told them now that when it's gone, it's gone & they'll have to wait until next time/shopping day etc. One thing I have found to help slightly is to not tell them when I've baked something & just put it away like I would have done if I'd bought it. So I'll make flapjacks, a cake & some bread then just put them away & when everyone is sniffing round saying they're hungry I'll say 'Oh there's some cake in the tin'. It's hard though as I want to proudly display my HM goodies when they all get in! HTH0

The motto in our house seems to be - homemade bread : a loaf a day - and I still have to make some for my neighbour. Nice that my efforts are appreciated but.........
Well done to you for having an appreciative family :T
I'll add this to the Daily thread wher people talk about the ups and downs of their Old Style days
