Who was it posted yesterday that they used to work on Low Lane in Horsforth? That is actually where I lived for many years!!!What Would Bill Buchanan Do?0

I used to work on Low Lane between 2003 & 2004. It was a real trek for me to get to and not a brilliant job, but I quite liked Horsforth. It is a very small world!
Typing this with sticky fingers as my darling brother brought me in some fudge. Little bear has had a marvellous time being spoiled by my brother and his friend and is now completely asleep. Long may this last.
I cannot imagine me doing any OS today, or tomorrow, but hugs to allAnkh Morpork Sunshine Sanctuary for Sick Dragons - don't let my flame go out!0 -
Hi there - back again.
Felt a lot more human after being tucked up in bed by DH and feline nurse. I slept from 10ish through to 2.30, and it was just what I needed.
Dropped off my library books, renewed another one, and dragged myself to Slimming World - lost 2.5lbs (perhaps the monthly lunatic cycle +food poisoning wasn't such a bad thing after all!)
Thanks for your kind thoughts today and (((hugs))) to everyone in need of them. I'm now going to retreat upstairs so that I can finish off my shawl and claim some bed space from DH and feline, who are having their nightly fix of DS9Surviving the ups and downs of life with DH

Rage in Eden...hope that you are feeling better...have spent a lot of my life doing things for people because I am strong...horsefeathers! I am no stronger than the next person but have learnt over the years that you can feel the fear and do it anyway( was that a book??) and then people just leave you to it...
Welcome to Beckiferanne and Sillyinthepast ....there is the odd looney like me around but mostly we are harmless...and very friendly.
Need to pick the rest of the meat of the chicken so that it can be rubberised over the next couple of days

I don't normally fall for those ads myself and would probably feel insulted too if anyone bought me this as a gift but I have tried the 30 second wrinkle cream (courtesy of a freebie on mse) and it is wonderful stuff. So anyone thinking of buying it for themselves.....it worked for me.
Pink
Well thanks for the link, I've sent for a sample:D But for anyone convinced by Pink's post I should say I don't know what she tested it onShe has beautiful unlined skin, with not a wrinkle in sight :rolleyes: Ooooooh perhaps she tried it somewhere concealed :rotfl:
I've had a good productive day, and even dusted the cobwebs off the steam cleaner:o:o Tomorrow I might even use it:rotfl: No, joking aside, I did the bathroom top to bottom, and it sparkles. If DH thinks he's washing himself in there he can forget it. There's a hose outside...............:p
Night all;)You never get a second chance to make a first impression.0 -

Have recently been pleased with success in making my own bread (thanks to the recipe cards on a piza making set I got my son for Xmas and all the threads on here) all by hand. So - Monday decided to make some bread to go with a Pasta tea Monday night and soup (homemade) Tuesday. Mixed my dough and decided to split it into two smaller loafs - one for us and one for a neighbour who let me have some eggs a couple of weeks ago for yorkshire puddings. Anyway my neighbour and family came down with a sickness bug so we decided it would be better kept for another day.
Anyway there I was Monday night with two reasonably sized loaves and a biggish pan of pasta. By 6pm was left with 1 loaf and no pasta (our family consist of me, OH and nearly 8 yo DS).
At 8.30 after reading through various posts on here I decided to make some cinnamon raisin bread. Finished loaf came out of oven about 10.30, left it to cool a little then had to have a couple slices to taste test it.
Had a slice of the cinnamon raisin this morning for breakfast, then had to cut up a couple for DS to try (along with 2 bowls of cereal) and cut a thick slice to put in his lunchbox.
We all got back home for tea (homemade soup and bread), so second loaf all gone and the remainder of the cinnamon raisin loaf gone as well. Since DS enjoyed the cr loaf so much I decided to make another one tonight so he can have some for lunch tomorrow.
The motto in our house seems to be - homemade bread : a loaf a day - and I still have to make some for my neighbour. Nice that my efforts are appreciated but.........:rolleyes:0 -
