It obviously didn't reach her skin as she didn't make a noise and just continued out of the room. By the way, you didn't miss it by skim reading - I talked about it on either Sat or Sundays thread, can't remember which.. :rotfl: :rotfl:

p.s. Welcome back Nesssie - good to see you
This weekend was a bit hit and miss for me! I'm not surprised. The first time evil cat saw a night light lit (pre little bear days) it was on the hearth, and she sort of folded herself down and sniffed at it. She must have thought it bit her because she sort of leaned back and raised her paw in an attack position. Then went for another sniff... The fur is not the densest thing on them :rotfl: I'm glad Treacle was okay.
So far today - no OS apart from a small quantity of washing. But I didn't get as much sleep as I hoped as a helicopter was right over our street around midnight (or so it sounded) and little bear was up ridiculously early (for him). Need to do stuff!Ankh Morpork Sunshine Sanctuary for Sick Dragons - don't let my flame go out!0 -
That's why I can no longer use the Body Shop as they took them over.
Nothing has changed at Body Shop with l'oreal taking them over, BS still do not test on animals or use product that has been tested on animals, i don't thik that will ever change
Well I have not stopped all morning, hoovered through, moped floors, then decided to tackle the conservatory :embarasse _pale_ it was not good, as it is closed up a lot in the winter mould and green stuff had started to grow, anyway it has taken me nearly three hours to clean it from top to bottom, it is sparkling, and smells of bleach
, just come in for lunch, and have now got to get all the stuff back in from the garden.
Also need to prep dinner, and do my Wii excersises phew  and this is my day off.
Pink, nice to see you posting, hope you are all well xx
Hugs again to the smokeys xx0 -
Ruby yes but the money that you pay to Body Shop will still go to a company that animal tests.:(
Hope everyone has a great afternoon. I am off to get started on the chores. Did my jobsearch and it's the same jobs on there since Feb!!!What Would Bill Buchanan Do?0 -

Ann Good to see you
and (((((((((((((hugs)))))))))))))) that you're feeling better soon.
Just a quickie really to share my 'whoopsie' triumph this morning. Went to Asda to do the shopping and got a bag of ready prepared leek & potato soup mix. I was shocked that such a thing exists  but I saw one for 20p reduced from £1 so got a nice pan of soup on the go for lunch tomorrow etc. I also got a bag of prepared sweet potato & butternut squash for 30p so I'll make it into soup with some carrots & onions added for the freezerApart from that it all came to a whopping £124 .......... but not bad really as it's for all 6 of us for the week & I've been building up a stock on some shelves in the back room in the kitchen which I'm having for a 'pantry'. Next weeks will have to be around the £60 mark if I want to keep on track with the grocery challenge
Oh well, onwards & upwards I must make the spag bol for tonight or there'll be a mutiny
((((((((((((((((((hugs)))))))))))))))))))) for a good afternoon.

Hello, never posted on here before so thought I would make myself known! Hope everyone is okay today
I've spent all morning ringing around various companies telling them I can't afford to pay my bills! They are actually really helpful if you ring them straight away and my electricity company is sending me a free usage monitor which apparently will tell me how much my appliances cost to run which will be handy when I am budgeting.Ruby yes but the money that you pay to Body Shop will still go to a company that animal tests.:(
I get around this one because I have a friend that works for a company that makes Body Shop (amongst others) products so she gets them for about 10p a bottle and the money goes towards the factory not Body Shop! I think that's my biggest saving, I never have to buy any toiletries apart from toothpaste and deodorant. I've told her she can never leave her job either0 -
Good afternoon alll!
Whew this is the first thread I've read all through in ages it seems!
Happy birthday Snoozer!
Hugs to Smokey and the little ones xx
Good luck with all the preparations Kathy!
Donny - happy anniversary! Will you be celebrating a la Hester!!!!
Stef - I like your plan, sounds perfect to me!
Well this morning I was up and out early, riding across the moors, it was beautiful, a really lovely way to start the day. Then popped out for a bite to eat with a friend who has just returned from Africa - lovely to hear all the stories and adventures, seems ages ago since I did a similar trip, I felt quite jealous!
OS wise I have hoovered and taken some mince out of the freezer!
Lunch for the kids was hm rolls with the leftover gammon in them, extra mustard for ds, raisins, hm yoghurt and hm brownies.
Dinner will be something with mince, who knows what yet!
Found some fab bargains last night at work, pancakes for 10p - ideal for the freezer as some days I run out of time and dd3 loves pancakes for brekkie, mixed leek and cabbage bags for 12p, bagels at 12p, and bunches of coriander for 9p. Not sure I'd want to eat the veg as fresh stuff, but will be fine in the SC or used in soup. Coriander was a silly price originally, can't believe anyone would pay that much for it, well, looks like they didn't as so much was reduced! Great to keep in the freezer and just bash before adding to curry or chilli, nice in potato salad too.
Well I am meant to be surfing the net looking for a petrol mower - ds has assured me that that is what he requires to sort out the lawn! Wonder if anywhere will let me pay in shirt buttons lol!
Have a good day all xx

Afternoon all,
La Feile Padraig sona dibh go leir!
Happy birthday Snoozer
Smoky and the Smokelets....hugs.
Missed a whole week while I was in Sardinia (thanks for noticing, Pippa), would have to pay for internet access and am too mean to do that. We had a lovely week, warmer than it had been here and of course lovely food....suppose that would be why I lost no weight in spite of lots of walking!!
Haven't managed to catch up on the dailies I missed, gather that there is a job on the horizon Snowy....congratulations
Congratulations to Beth on Charlotte's safe arrival....another excuse to do the work of two normal people!
Kathy...won't seem like OS while you do the transition....happy landings etc
Pink....nice to see you posting.
Am celebrating St Patrick's day by relaxing with my pc...dinner will be roast chicken, whatever veg I can find and rhubarb and custard for pudding...our first rhubarb this year, I love it.
DD4 was a great help while I was away and sorted my hot press...passed all odds and ends on to the local clothes bank so I can now see what I want when I want it...for how long I wonder??
Heard when I got back that a young girl (25) I knew had died of cancer....hadn't seen her in ages but as youngsters often seem to disappear from time to time because they are working somewhere else I had passed no mind to it...lovely girl, know her father, I am sure he is devastated as they were very close I know....will have to write the letter as I missed the funeral.
Anniestar....sorry to hear that you haven't been well, take care of yourself.
Hugs to all who have not been well since I've been here, or who have had any trouble of anykind, and to anyone who would like a hug for no reason at all.
Good to be back
Marie
If any of my children were to buy me the cosmetic equivilant of Polyfilla, no matter who made it, I would immediately apply for divorce from that child! Mind you, my request of filling for my new square foot boxes is not much less odd!Weight 08 February 86kg0
